Patent number: 9625499Abstract: A smart receptacle is for a number of loads. The smart receptacle includes separable contacts; an operating mechanism structured to open and close the separable contacts; and a number of current sensors structured to sense current flowing through the separable contacts to one of the number of loads. A number of indicators indicate a relative level of the sensed current or corresponding energy. A processor inputs the sensed current, determines the relative level of the sensed current or the corresponding energy, and controls the number of indicators to indicate the relative level of the sensed current or the corresponding energy.Type: GrantFiled: May 1, 2014Date of Patent: April 18, 2017Assignee: EATON CORPORATIONInventors: Hoyma Joel Mazara Diaz, Sandy Omar Jimenez Gonzalez, Glennys Johanny De Jesus Reyes, Mario Nunez Hernandez

Patent number: 9234601Abstract: Described herein is a pressure relief valve that vents contents from a rail tank car or similar container at two preset pressures. The lower preset pressure is attained whenever specific valve attachment devices melt well below the spontaneous combustion temperature of the contents of a rail tank car or similar container. When these attachment devices melt, formerly attached corresponding constant force spring assemblies disconnect from a spring plate. Without these operative attached spring assemblies there is less force to oppose the pressure from the contents of rail tank car or similar container. With less opposing force, the contents of the rail tank car or similar container escape from under a dislodged sealing disk before the rail tank car or similar container (i) over pressurizes and causes the tank shell to fail or (ii) the contents self-combust, and both of which events cause an explosion.Type: GrantFiled: April 12, 2014Date of Patent: January 12, 2016Assignee: Kelso Technologies Inc.Inventors: Barry LaCroix, Mario Nunez

Patent number: 9166383Abstract: A switchgear mounting assembly for a load center includes a base assembly, an electrical bus assembly, and a bracket. The base assembly includes a base and a central protrusion extending outwardly from the base. Bus bars are electrically connected and mechanically coupled to the central protrusion and include stabs, which extend radially outwardly from the central protrusion. The bracket is coupled to the central protrusion and includes supporting elements. Each supporting element maintains a corresponding electrical switching apparatus in electrical communication with a corresponding one of the stabs. The switchgear mounting assembly is therefore structured to mount the electrical switching apparatus in a radial array extending around the central protrusion.Type: GrantFiled: February 25, 2014Date of Patent: October 20, 2015Assignee: EATON CORPORATIONInventors: Hoyma Joel Mazara Diaz, Mario Nunez Hernandez, Glennys Johanny De Jesus Reyes, Sandy Omar Jimenez Gonzalez
