Abstract: Within project management the tracking of actions for project meetings is undertaken through templates within standard office productivity tools which in common with dedicated meeting minute software and meeting software tools stand independent of project management software tools and manufacturing resource planning tools. The result is that users typically have actions arising from multiple projects each of which have multiple discrete and separate meetings occurring at different frequencies such that they must access a variety of documents in different tools to track meetings, actions given, action status etc. Accordingly, it would be beneficial to provide enterprises and users with a meeting management/action tracking software tool that supports interfaces with project management tools, manufacturing resource planning tools, customer management tools etc. so that they can obtain a centralized perspective of their actions across multiple projects and access real time information within meetings.

Abstract: The Kanban process-management approach establishes inventory levels at different stages in manufacturing, standardizes batch sizes and signals production/delivery of a new shipment only as a previous shipment is consumed. However, users viewing Kanban charts whilst able to view tasks by different stages within a process have little comprehension of the timing associated with the tasks individually or as a sequence nor of resource workload and availability. Accordingly, a planning and resource tool allowing disparate project planning methodologies to be combined would allow a user to view not only their tasks within a graphical user interface providing comparable features to the user friendly KanBan format but also to allow them to rapidly visualize the inter-relationship of their tasks with the overall process. Such a tool would allow for quick visual identification of issues relating to their and others workload and availability.

Abstract: Databases are organized collections of data to model aspects of reality and support processes including those requiring, generating, and finding information or modelling real or virtual world systems. These are typically accessed via an application which may have been coded to only return specific columns or limits functionality requiring the user to either know names of desired fields or search the entire table. Such applications allow users who are not knowledgeable with Structured Query Language (SQL) for managing data held in a relational database management systems (RDBMSs) to access the database. However, the application may be coded to return only specific columns or limit accessible functionality. These issues are further exacerbated through user interfaces mobile/portable devices which typically present a smaller portion of the grid.
