  • Publication number: 20210039042
Abstract: A water production system is provided that uses ambient air, a desiccant, a refrigeration cycle, and heat generated by the refrigeration cycle to generate water that may be used when water is scarce, for example during a natural disaster recovery operation. The system may use commercial electrical power in one embodiment, but when commercial electrical power is unavailable, it may rely on generator power. When it relies on generator power, the system may use excess heat exhausted by the generator to heat ambient air prior to its introduction to the desiccant.

  • Publication number: 20140112783
Abstract: An HMSWT is disclosed which is constructed of successive cage type turbine assemblies. The multiple turbine assemblies are preferably induced into a reverse rotational movement from one another in a coupling effect. A first turbine assembly is propelled and forced into a rotational movement propelled by the oncoming wind which in turn induces a second, inner turbine assembly to rotate in an opposite and reverse direction. This coupling effect enables the rotational movement of two or more turbines with the same oncoming wind and airflow. The particular design of these multiple blades not only enhance the propelling force of the wind by increasing rotational movement, but simultaneously redirects the same airflow inward increasing the velocity of the airflow and propelling it onto the inner turbine assembly.

  • Patent number: 8704142
Abstract: The Microwave System and method of reactivation is designed to provide an indirect, safe and energy efficient source of heat and temperature rise required in the reactivation section of the desiccant unit for the release into atmosphere of the water vapors which are accumulated in the desiccant rotor. This microwave reactivation system and method is based on heat transfer produced from a heated fluid which is pumped through a closed loop coil assembly. This closed loop coil assembly is located and runs through both the isolated heating chamber of the microwave section and the reactivation/regeneration section in the dehumidification system. The airstream passing through the reactivation intake section comes in contact with the coil assembly and is heated to the desired temperature prior to reaching the desiccant rotor.

  • Patent number: 8551230
Abstract: The present invention “PH2OCP” relates to a portable water and climatic production system. In the preferred embodiment, the system uses a combination of heating coils assemblies, cooling coils and more specifically the desiccant rotor technology for the extraction, collection of water vapor molecules from the air stream and transformation in to condensate for the production of clean filtered potable water. The portable water and climatic production system or “PH2OCP” is designed to operate and produce water in a wide range of global climatic conditions, including the most arid of environments. This is made possible due to the highly effective performance capabilities of the desiccant rotor technology in the extraction of water vapor molecules from any existing ambient air. The desiccant technology is designed in the “PH2OCP” to operate in combination with the microwave reactivation system in the regeneration or reactivation section and cooling coils assembly located in the condensation section.

  • Publication number: 20110296858
Abstract: The present invention relates to a portable water and climatic production system (“PH2OCP”). In the preferred embodiment, the system utilizes a desiccant rotor wheel to capture water vapor. The desiccant rotor wheel then rotates through a microwave heating chamber to release the water therefrom and heat the airflow as it rehydrates with the water released from the rotor wheel. The heated, moistened airflow then passes through a cooling and condensation system to create air conditioned airflow and water. The “PH2OCP” system is designed to operate and produce water in a wide range of global climatic conditions, including the most arid of environments. This is made possible due to the highly effective performance capabilities of the desiccant rotor technology in the extraction of water vapor molecules from any existing ambient air.
