  • Publication number: 20080308051
Abstract: The solenoid valve assembly (5) presents an inlet union (8), at least one combustible gas outlet hole (28), and a plate (29) carrying a shutter (13) and operatable by an electromagnet (19) for controlling the solenoid valve (14). The plate (29) is turnable about a contact line (36) of one face (37) engaged by a bar (46) pushed against the plate (29) by a helical compression spring (44), so as to normally keep the shutter (13) in closed position. A valve body (7) is connected to an intermediate plate (12) carrying the outlet holes (28) and is closed by a removable and modular closing plate (9), which carries a variable number of outlet conduits (1). The intermediate plate (12) is provided with a series of grooves (56) adapted to accommodate a series of different gaskets (17), each corresponding to a module of the closing plate (9).

  • Patent number: 5419162
Abstract: The device comprises, for each selector element, a high-speed electromagnet having a fixed core with a single coil, and an armature consisting of a lightweight blade. When the coil is energized, the blade is moved into one position, and is restored to another position by means of a compression spring when the coil is de-energized, with a response time of less than 4 ms. The electromagnets are housed in the support of a selection assembly, and packed in at least two offset rows. Each coil is energized at a first voltage and is subsequently maintained energized at a lower voltage.

  • Patent number: 5318071
Abstract: A solenoid valve comprising an inlet conduit coaxial with an exhaust conduit; and an on-off element supported on the anchor of an electromagnet and moving substantially along the common axis of the two conduits for alternately connecting the inlet conduit and the exhaust conduit to an outlet conduit via a connecting compartment. The anchor normally closes the inlet conduit via flexible means, such as a permanent magnet in the magnetic circuit of the electromagnet, magnetized the opposite way to when the electromagnet is energized. The action of the electromagnet is such as to substantially eliminate that of the magnet on the anchor, which is thus set rapidly to the closed position over the exhaust conduit.

  • Patent number: 5048564
Abstract: A solenoid valve having an electromagnet arranged in a chamber into which an inlet duct and an outlet duct of the solenoid valve open, whereby the coil is constantly ventilated by the compressed air itself. The armature of the electromagnetic has a disc for shutting off the outlet duct and is formed by a plate which is urged into the closed position of the solenoid valve by the compressed air. The plate rotates about a beading of elastomeric material and exhibits extremely low inertia, whereby the solenoid valve can be operated at high frequency. The chamber can house a plurality of electromagnets, each of which controls a shut-off member for a corresponding outlet duct. The body also comprises an interchangeable shell which has funnel-shaped chambers for directing the air of at least one set of ducts to a common outlet aperture.

  • Patent number: 4810112
Abstract: A dot matrix print head of improved type is described the principal characteristic of which lies in the fact that the casing containing the electromagnets actuating the needles is clamped between the needle support body and a cover carrying on its interior the striker elements which, when attracted by the electromagnets, displace the needles; the casing is formed by an extruded metal tube body and by an element of plastics material between which are inserted, in appropriate grooves, stacks of U-shape laminations carrying at one end respective electrical windings constituting the electromagnets.

  • Patent number: 4798484
Abstract: A dot matrix print head is described having an improved type of electromagnetic actuator device for the print needles; the ends of the striker elements which cooperate with one of the poles of the electromagnetic drive for each needle are in fact shaped on the side facing the said pole, in such a way as to be displaced with respect to the point of contact of the striker element on the pole itself, so as to cause between this end and the pole a predetermined clearance capable of compensating possible constructional imprecisions. (FIG. 2).

  • Patent number: 4407591
Abstract: A wire printing head of ballistic type comprises a front guide fixed to a carriage and in which the printing wires are mounted in an axially slidable manner. The electromagnets for actuating the wires have their respective cores mounted inside a tube of non-magnetic material. In order to obtain high heat dissipation, the electromagnet cores and windings are embedded in a resin block which fills the interior of the tube. The exterior of the tube is also provided with a set of cooling fins. The electromagnet armatures are mounted on a rear cover which is connected by a screw to a part of the front guide, which in its turn is housed in a compartment in the resin block. Shims are disposed between the front guide and group of electromagnets, and their number can be varied in order to modify the distance of the ends of the printing wires from the platen.
