  • Patent number: 5634608
Abstract: A take-up apparatus for reel material of an image exposing device has a driven winding drum and a sensor provided to control the drive of the winding drum. The sensor detects the position of the reel material ahead of the winding drum. In this case, the drive of the winding drum is controlled in such a manner that the reel material forms a bulge (A) ahead of the winding drum with a substantially constant curvature.

  • Patent number: 4961087
Abstract: A diaphragm adjusting arrangement in an enlarging appartus having several lenses with an adjustable diaphragm includes a motor drive for the common adjustment of the diaphragms of all lenses and a device for detecting the adjusting path. By means of the comparison of the actual position of the diaphragms with a given desired position in a control circuit, a control signal is generated for the motor drive to move the diaphragms into the given position.

  • Patent number: 4682883
Abstract: This invention relates to a photographic color enlarging apparatus having a measuring device for determining the density of a test copy which, by means of the enlarging apparatus, is exposed from a reference original selected for the test-adjusting of the apparatus. Light-guiding means (15) guide light from the copying-light source of the enlarging apparatus into a measuring level outside the path of the copying rays which receives the test copies to be measured, and a photoelectric measuring sensor (25) receives measuring light reflected by the test copy. As a function of an existing density difference between the test copy and a reference copy, corrections of the exposure values are determined in such a way that a copy exposed under the new exposure conditions has the density values of the reference copy.

  • Patent number: 4191466
Abstract: In an illuminating system for color enlargement or copying, three color filters of maximum density and a shutter may be introduced into the light beam in a continuous motion. The direction of travel of the filters is normal to the direction of travel of the shutter. To avoid a change in the color composition of the copying light when only the shutters are adjusted, the effective shape of the shutter introduced into the light beam is varied dependent upon the depth of insertion of the shutter into the light beam. For this purpose, the shutter may comprise two parts: a shutter strip and auxiliary shutter strip, the position of which relative to the corresponding shutter strip is different depending on the depth of insertion.

Abstract: An illuminating device for a color printing apparatus having color filters insertable at varying amounts into the printing light beam has a light-conducting shaft and a variable aperture diaphragm both of which have substantially rectangular cross sections whereby the color content of the printing light beam is maintained substantially uniform. The light-conducting shaft has the form of a frustum of a square pyramid and the variable aperture of the diaphragm has a rectangular form. The light source has an ellipsoidal reflector, and the light beam emerging from the illuminating device is channeled through a light mixer.

  • Patent number: 4131362
Abstract: A light mixing compartment for a projector, such as incorporated in a photographic copier or enlarger, has four convexly curved side panels disposed between the entrance and exit, which are covered by light diffusing plates. The cross sections of the compartment parallel to its diffusing plates are cylindrical or rectangular with the sides having different angles of inclination adjacent the entrance from those at the exit. The ultimate slope of the sides adjacent the exit preferably is a right angle, and the overall shape of the convexly curved sides is adjusted to control the marginal brightness of the light format emitted from the compartment. The four convexly curved sides are held together by appropriately shaped bands riveted to the sides for securing them together.

  • Patent number: 4077716
Abstract: An illumating device for a photograph enlarging or copying apparatus has a pair of lighting compartments having different characteristics movably connected to each other and mounted to slide back and forth across the optical axis. The light compartment better adapted to the particular format to be copied is positioned in line with the optical axis. A diffusing lens is insertable in the light emergence side of the lighting compartment being utilized, and the diffusing lens may be movably mounted so as to position different areas in the path of light emerging from the compartment.
