Patent number: 12199468Abstract: Systems and methods for providing a mobile memory module in an automatic transfer switch (ATS) allow the memory module to be easily removed from a controller of the ATS. The mobile memory module is a discrete, nonvolatile memory module that stores operational settings for the ATS and can be mounted and removed via a removable fastener. When thus mounted, the mobile memory module is connected to a signal path that allows data communication with a microprocessor on the controller. The microprocessor can retrieve operational settings from the mobile memory module as needed and store updated or new operational settings on the mobile memory module as required. In some embodiments, the mobile memory module has a protective outer housing that is hardened to withstand catastrophic transfer switch failure while still retaining all operational settings stored on the module.Type: GrantFiled: April 29, 2022Date of Patent: January 14, 2025Assignee: ASCO Power Technologies, L.P.Inventors: Victor Bonachea, John E. Hayes, Mario Ibrahim

Patent number: 12189381Abstract: System and methods for monitoring and control infrastructure equipment uses extended reality playback to monitor such infrastructure equipment. The system and method advantageously blends videos and images of physical equipment with computer-generated representations of events to enable playback of the events, including any user interactions with the equipment. The extended reality playback presents events captured by real-time event logs for the infrastructure equipment using extended reality media content. The playback is composed of a real-time sequence of media content depicting one or more equipment operations corresponding to the events as a continuous presentation. The real-time sequence can then be displayed in real time and stored for subsequent playback at any time by a user. The real-time sequence can also be compared to a verified “golden” sequence to detect errors in the infrastructure equipment.Type: GrantFiled: August 26, 2021Date of Patent: January 7, 2025Assignee: ASCO Power Technologies, L.P.Inventors: Mario Ibrahim, Tewfik Meftah, Olivier Bouffet

Patent number: 12132437Abstract: In an example, a control system for controlling a generator and providing an alarm upon detection of a fault condition. The control system includes a control relay, which includes a normally-open (NO) contact pair and a normally-closed (NC) contact pair, between the transfer switch and a controller. The NO contact pair is provided by a NO contact and a common contact, and the NC contact pair is provided by a NC contact and the common contact. The controller can receive signals indicative of a state of the contact pairs of the control relay and, based on the signals, determine whether to activate the generator and/or activate an alarm system.Type: GrantFiled: September 29, 2020Date of Patent: October 29, 2024Assignee: ASCO Power Technologies, L.P.Inventors: Steven E. Evans, Victor E. Bonachea, Mario Ibrahim, Donald K. Blackman

Patent number: 11804728Abstract: Methods and systems for control of a power-quality measuring or monitoring device, such as a transfer switch, are provided. An example method includes a transfer-switch controller of a transfer switch receiving an input command from a user. The method further includes, in response to receiving the input command, the transfer-switch controller entering a safe state, wherein in the safe state operational settings of the transfer switch remain unchanged. Still further, the method includes, after entering the safe state, the transfer-switch controller providing, based on operational data specific to the transfer switch, information regarding a feature of the transfer switch.Type: GrantFiled: November 4, 2021Date of Patent: October 31, 2023Assignee: ASCO Power Technologies, L.P.Inventors: Matthew Scott, Mario Ibrahim, Victor E. Patent number: 11626548Abstract: A method for transferring electroluminescent structures onto a face, referred to as the accommodating face, of an accommodating substrate. The accommodating face is moreover provided with interconnections intended to individually address each of the structures. The electroluminescent structures are initially formed on a supporting substrate and are separated by tracks. It is then proposed in the present invention to form reflective walls, vertically above the tracks, which comprise a supporting polymer (the second polymer) supporting a metal film on its sides. Such an arrangement of reflective walls makes it possible to reduce the stresses exerted on the electroluminescent structures during the transfer method according to the present invention. Moreover, the reflective walls, within the meaning of the present invention, may be produced on all the electroluminescent structures resting on a supporting substrate.Type: GrantFiled: December 17, 2018Date of Patent: April 11, 2023Assignees: ALEDIA, COMMISSARIAT À L'ÉNERGIE ATOMIQUE ET AUX ÉNERGIES ALTERNATIVESInventors: Marion Volpert, Vincent Beix, François Levy, Mario Ibrahim, Fabrice De Moro
