    Abstract: A method for accessing a proximity service in a mobile communication network including a network module and a user equipment (UE) including a primary radio interface that operates according to a first radio access technology providing connection to the network, and at least one secondary radio interface that operates according to at least one second radio access technology different from the first one is described. The network module communicates with the UE for enabling it to access the service. The method includes sending by the UE to the module a request message, at the module, generating an answer message adapted to enable access to the service by the UE over the primary radio interface, and converting the answer message into at least one further answer message adapted to enable access to the service by the UE over the at least one secondary radio interface.
