  • Publication number: 20190023522
Abstract: A method at a workstation of a spinning machine or winding machine supplies an auxiliary thread from a thread nozzle to a suction assigned to the workstation, the auxiliary thread stretched between the thread nozzle and the suction. The auxiliary thread is severed to form a thread section protruding into the suction and a thread section extending into the thread nozzle, wherein the thread section protruding into the suction is carried away by the suction. The thread section extending into the thread nozzle is grasped with a thread receiver such that the thread section extending into the thread nozzle extends between the thread nozzle and the thread receiver. The thread section extending into the thread nozzle is severed to form a thread section remaining in the thread nozzle and a thread section coming from the thread receiver. The thread section coming from the thread receiver is transferred to the suction of the workstation.

Abstract: A method is provided for operating a work station of a spinning or winding machine, wherein the work station includes a spinning device for producing a thread or a cop for delivering a thread, and a winding device for producing a bobbin on a tub. The winding device includes a swivel-mounted bobbin holder with a bobbin plate for receiving the tube and for catching the thread, a powered winding roller for rotating the tube or a bobbin, and a thread traversing device. A first suction nozzle is directed towards a circumference of a bobbin on the bobbin holder, and a second suction nozzle is arranged on the bobbin plate turned away from the bobbin and spaced from and directed counter to the first suction nozzle. To attaching a thread to an empty tube placed on the bobbin holder, the thread is arranged in the first and second suction nozzles so that the thread is tensed by negative pressure at least in the second suction nozzle.

  • Publication number: 20170016150
Abstract: With a method for the safe starting and/or stopping a rotor of a rotor spinning machine for the production of yarn, with a multiple number of rotors, each of which rotates in a rotor housing covered by a lid, each rotor is driven by its own motor and is held in at least one radially and/or axially active magnetic bearing by means of a position controller. A data connection of the motor is provided with a control unit, in order to drive the rotor in various operating states. There is a check of the control for driving the rotor, the position control for the one or more active magnetic bearings, the data connection for controlling the motor and/or the properly closed lid, and, in the event that predetermined target values and/or states are not met, the start of the rotor is blocked or the motor that is already running is selectively stopped. A rotor spinning machine is suitable for carrying out the method.

  • Patent number: 6574526
Abstract: A procedure is provided for controlling individual components of a work station in a textile machine. The textile machine includes a plurality of the work stations with each work station having individual control devices. Components of the work stations are connected to a bus system, and the bus system is connected to a central control apparatus. A default value identifying address is set for the components. The central control apparatus recognizes that the components have been installed at the work stations and a recognition phase is initialized wherein the components are interrogated by the central control apparatus. The default address is converted to a component specific address for each of the components and the same type of components have different specific addresses. Operation of the components is controlled through the central control apparatus that communicates with selected components through their respective control device in accordance with their respective component specific address.

  • Patent number: 6532396
Abstract: A process and apparatus are provided for controlling components of individual work stations of a textile machine wherein the textile machine includes a plurality of adjacent such work stations. The work station components are run at a first speed during normal operation. A time period is established at the start of a voltage loss to the components. At the conclusion of this time period, the components are shut down. The components assume a second set speed as they run down during the time period beginning at the start of the voltage loss. Upon the voltage loss, an auxiliary current source is activated and the speed of the components which are supplied with auxiliary voltage from the current source is reduced in a controlled manner with the aid of a control program.
