  • Patent number: 5211525
Abstract: Packs formed from a group of sacks bound by straps for feeding to so-called sack applicators are conveyed continuously in succession by a particular arrangement of endless driven belts, comprising a belt acting on the lower central part of the pack and a central upper belt and two lateral belts or shoes acting on the upper side parts of the pack to result in transverse arching of the pack and the insertion of a fixed reference member between the pack and strap to bring the strap into contact with a rotary cutter for its cutting. The hanging cut part of the strap is led between cooperating inclined rollers which remove the strap.

  • Patent number: 5002458
Abstract: This system for mutually automatically arranging, according to any desired patterns, bags, boxes or other articles, particularly for use in machines for loading movable platforms (pallets) is characterized by a locating conveyor belt mounted on a carriage so as to also transversely slide, in a preset way, on supporting guides to drive the articles conveyed thereby with a possible motion deriving from the combination of two simultaneous perpendicular motions in order to locate each article, which may be preoriented, in a suitable position to make, in cooperation with other articles, the preset platform filling pattern so as to provide a comparatively compact layered assembly.

  • Patent number: 4976583
Abstract: The sacks bound into packs by straps are unbound during their travel towards a sack application device by cutting the strap or straps which bind them, making the cut in a portion of the strap or straps which has been spaced apart from the pack. The cut straps are removed from the unbound pack, which then reaches the sack application device. The arrangement comprises conveyors for conveying the bound sacks to a station for cutting and removing the strap or straps, and from this to a sack application device.

  • Patent number: 4516762
Abstract: The invention relates to a system for feeding single bags to automatic bag inserting apparatuses, picking them up and also unsticking the bag being picked up from the underlying ones, in case they are glued to one another because of glue drops during the bag manufacture. The system substantially comprises (see FIG. 3) three units: a first unit provided with suction cups, picking up the bag at its transversal middle portion, where accidental adhesion of bags cannot happen, and lifting it to allow that two unsticking units, including bars being inserted under the bag and unsticking it from the underlying one with a spreading action, are inserted between said bag being picked up and the underlying one. One of the two units is also provided with pincers blocking the bag edges on the open unsticking arms and, in the return stroke of the unit to the starting position, transferring it on to the feeding device of the bag inserting apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4311228
Abstract: Automatic feeder for empty bags comprises a carousel type accumulator having a plurality of containers, each container being capable of containing bags either singularly or in stacks. The containers are conveyed by the carousel type accumulator along an annular path. A supplying station for the bags and a discharging station therefor are arranged in such path. Extraction mechanisms capable of detecting the containers when they are filled act thereon in the discharging station for extracting the bags. Suckers and a conveyor tape transfer singularly the extracted bags towards a successive working station.

  • Patent number: 4141392
Abstract: An apparatus for automatic insertion of a valved bag of paper or other flexible sheet material on to a charging nozzle of a machine adapted to fill the bag with material in granular or powder form, in which the bags are fed from a supply thereof sequentially by means of a distributing device to an inserting device. The inserting device includes means for picking up a bag from the distributing device, means for opening the valve and for testing the operativeness of the valve, means for discarding a bag with an inoperative valve and means for feeding a bag with an operative valve to the charging nozzle of the bag-filling machine.
