  • Publication number: 20220359808
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for forming flip chip bumps using electroplating. The method allows the formation of flip chip bumps in a way that is compatible with already-formed sensitive electronic components, such as Josephson junctions, which may be used in quantum processing units. The invention also relates to a product and a flip chip package in which flip chip bumps are formed with the disclosed method.

  • Publication number: 20220359415
Abstract: Superconducting through substrate vias (STSVs) are disclosed. The STSVs provide superconducting interconnections between opposite faces of a substrate. In an example, a method of forming STSVs includes etching openings that extend from a first side of a substrate partially through the substrate towards a second side of the substrate. The method also includes depositing a seed layer over the first side of the substrate and interior surfaces of the openings in the substrate. The method further includes forming a resist or hardmask on the first side of the substrate above the seed layer, such that the resist or hardmask comprises openings aligned with the etched openings in the substrate. The etched openings in the substrate are filled with a superconducting filler material. The substrate is thinned by removing material from the second side of the substrate until the deposited seed layer is exposed on the second side of the substrate.

  • Publication number: 20140324737
Abstract: An input-power switcher for a telecom site includes a sourcing unit for configuring two or more alternative energy sources as available at the telecom site. The switcher includes a pricing unit for storing time-varying price references from one or more different suppliers for at least one of the two or more alternative energy sources. The switcher includes a processing unit for selecting one amongst the two or more alternative energy sources for powering the telecom site The selection is made on the basis of the alternative energy sources available at the telecom site and the time-varying price references in the pricing unit The processing unit is in communication with the sourcing unit and the pricing unit. The switcher includes an actuator unit for switching to the selected, alternative energy source for powering the telecom site. The actuator unit in communication with the processing unit. A method of using an input-power switcher for a telecom site.

  • Publication number: 20050031604
Abstract: The present invention patent refers to the isolation and purification of peptides secreted by serpent venom glands, specifically Bothrops jararaca; to the peptide thus obtained, as well as to the production procedures by genetic engineering techniques in procaryotic and eukaryotic systems; to the engineered peptide thus obtained; to the production of said peptide by chemical synthesis, as well as to the peptide resulting from this chemical processing. It also refers to the utilization of said peptides, obtained by different procedures, in distinct pharmaceutical compositions, and introduced into the organism by a variety of means, in order for them to act as inhibitors of vasopeptidases, and consequently reduce systemic arterial blood pressure, and show local vasodilating action.
