  • Publication number: 20070271885
Abstract: In a filter housing (100) for at least one axial flow filter element (70) capable of receiving axial flow between its end faces and having at least one continuous sealing collar on its outer circumference which can be pressed against a sealing flange (18) on the housing, a plurality of filter elements (70) can be inserted side by side into cutouts (19) of a common clamping frame element (30). Each of the sealing collars rests on the clamping frame element (30) which is plane parallel to the at least one sealing flange (18) and displaceable toward the sealing flange (18) by a clamping device (50).

  • Publication number: 20070186527
Abstract: A filter element (1) wound from a plurality of filter layers in which the circumferential contour (5, 5?) of a cross-sectional area (4) of the filter element (1) has at least one circumferential contour section (5?) undercutting the envelope contour (6, 6?) of the cross-sectional filter element area (4).

  • Patent number: 6736874
Abstract: A filter device, especially for filtering the intake air of an internal combustion engine, which includes a housing with an unfiltered air inlet and a clean air outlet, and a substantially cylindrical, replaceable filter insert disposed in the housing, which separates an unfiltered air zone within the housing from a clean air zone. An axial seal is provided on at least one end disk of the cylindrical filter insert, which seal interacts with a sealing surface on the housing to seal the unfiltered air zone from the clean air zone. A clamping wedge is also provided, which exerts a force on the filter insert to urge the axial seal reliably against the sealing surface of the filter housing.

  • Patent number: 6712571
Abstract: A releasable fastening device that includes a rivet (3) that can be inserted in through openings (5, 6) of components (1, 2) that are to be mounted. The rivet (3) is provided with a projection at one end and with spreadable expansion elements (4) at its other end. A threaded bolt (8) is axially pushed into an internal counter-thread of the rivet (3) to spread the expansion elements (4). When the fastening device is assembled, the walls of the components (1, 2) or of an intermediate element (7) engage radial recesses on the circumference of the rivet (3) to hold the components securely. Bolt (8) can be unscrewed from the rivet (3) to facilitate disassembly.

  • Patent number: 6276652
Abstract: A fastening element for a plastic housing, especially a filter housing, which is fitted to a supporting structure so as to damp vibrations. To this end the housing is provided with the fastening element comprising a rubber-elastic member (12), especially a member produced by the two-component injection molding method, and a mounting member of the support structure is lockingly engaged with the fastening element so that the fastening element of the housing is functionally connected to the supporting structure.

  • Patent number: 5400753
Abstract: An air filter for an internal combustion engine which has a filter insert is arranged in a housing having a clean air outlet and an unfiltered air inlet provided with a screen. An auxiliary unfiltered air inlet is also provided which is closed by a flap under normal operating conditions but which opens under the influence of a negative pressure generated in the filter housing if the screen becomes clogged because of snow or ice entrained in the air stream, so that air can enter the filter through the auxiliary air inlet.
