  • Publication number: 20090100784
Abstract: The present invention is directed toward a rebar support assembly utilized in structural construction beams. The assembly may include a frame having chair portion, a cage portion, an intermediate portion, and/or a header portion. Each portion may include one or more rebar receptacles designed to support a segment of reinforcement bar in a predetermined location and orientation. For example, the receptacles may be configured to orient the rebar in a generally horizontal and/or a generally vertical position. The assembly may be configured as a unitary structure, or may be modular to customize the rebar support for a job site. In use, the assembly is positioned on the supporting surface of the concrete pour area and rebar segments are coupled to the receptacles. Concrete is then poured over/around the assembly.

  • Patent number: 6475194
Abstract: An improved safety syringe device includes a shield from which a vacuum needle extends and retracts, a vial that is telescopically received within a cavity of the shield and that attaches to the vacuum needle at its distal end, and a ring rotatably connected around a portion of the vial near its distal end. The vial includes a protrusion that engages with a tab on the ring to move the tab within a channel defined on the interior surface of the shield cavity. The safety syringe device further includes a temporary locking feature to maintain the vial at a generally fixed position within the shield during use of the syringe.

  • Publication number: 20010037088
Abstract: An improved safety syringe device includes a shield from which a vacuum needle extends and retracts, a vial that is telescopically received within a cavity of the shield and that attaches to the vacuum needle at its distal end, and a ring rotatably connected around a portion of the vial near its distal end. The vial has at least one protrusion extending from its exterior surface near its distal end, and the ring has at least one tab projecting from the exterior surface of the ring. The tab and projection have engaging surfaces that engage with one another when the vial and ring are moved axially within the shield toward the distal end of the shield. The shield has at least one channel defined on the interior surface of the shield in the shield cavity, and the channel is configured to receive the tab and protrusion and permit their travel between the shield proximal and distal ends. A resilient member within the shield biases the vial and ring within the shield toward its proximal end.
