  • Patent number: 7795538
Abstract: Flexible insulated wires for use in a high temperature environment include a conductor and a coating over the conductor. The coating is formulated from a dielectric material and an organic binder having an organic component, wherein the organic component has been substantially decomposed from the coating during manufacture. The flexible insulated wire may be incorporated into a component.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 6, 2007
Date of Patent: September 14, 2010
    Assignee: Honeywell International Inc.
Inventors: Mark Kaiser, Devlin Gualtieri, Belinda S. Foor, Mariola Proszowski, Rehan Zaki
  • Patent number: 7629290
Abstract: The present invention provides an economical and efficient system for the catalytic conversion of ozone, particularly in airplane bleed air. The present invention comprises a washcoat on a single surface layer, wherein the washcoat may contain an active metal oxide which is active for ozone conversion where the metal oxide comprises a transition metal. Alternatively, the system may comprise a refractory metal oxide washcoat into which a transition metal active for ozone conversion is impregnated.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 23, 2005
Date of Patent: December 8, 2009
    Assignee: Honeywell International Inc.
Inventors: Peter M. Michalakos, Belinda S. Foor, Robert J. Koukol, Mariola Proszowski

  • Publication number: 20050089464
Abstract: Method and equipment for converting hydrocarbon fuel to a mixture of hydrogen and carbon monoxide through catalytic partial oxidation. The catalysts can include a combination of both an oxidation catalyst and a steam reforming catalyst, though no water is used in the process and catalyst contact time is short. Thermal management of the process in the pre-reaction and post reaction zones of the reactor enhance yields and reduce carbon deposition.
