  • Publication number: 20190352942
Abstract: A handle for a motor vehicle includes a mounting carrier which can be secured on the inside of a door of the motor vehicle, and a grip level that can be arranged on the outside of the door of the motor vehicle and is secured to said mounting carrier. The mounting carrier comprises a control element that is operatively connected to a securing element which can be arranged on the outside of the door. The control element is movable from a retaining position into a securing position as the result of which the distance between the securing element and the control element can be reduced, thus allowing the mounting carrier to be fastened to the door in a reliable manner.

  • Patent number: 8636309
Abstract: The invention relates to an external handle on doors or hatches of vehicles, using a two piece (10, 20) housing, wherein a cavity (21) is generated between said pieces. A sensor (31, 32) is arranged in said cavity in a container (30). On operation, the sensor carries out certain functions in the lock. According to the invention, failures caused by the ingress of fluids into the cavity (21) can be avoided, wherein the container (30) is formed from an elastic molded mass (35), in which the sensor (31, 32) and optionally some further electric and/or electronic components for the sensor operation are embedded. An elastic surface (36) is achieved on at least one end piece of the container (30) by means of the molded mass (35). When assembled, the container (30) is pressed (41) with said elastic surface (36) against an inner surface (29) of the housing piece (10, 20).

  • Publication number: 20130161963
Abstract: A door grip arrangement for motor vehicles with an elongated handle, includes a handle body and a handle cover. A cavity is formed in the handle body. Electronic components are received in the cavity, wherein the electronic components are at least partially cast around with casting compound. Transversely to the longitudinal extent of the handle, at least one dividing wall is arranged in the handle body, so that the dividing wall divides the handle body into several chambers, with at least one cavity being located in each chamber. The cavities are open to a side of the handle which is oriented towards the handle cover. At least one of the chambers receives electronic components which are cast around with casting compound such that the dividing wall forms a boundary for the casting compound.

  • Patent number: 8424936
Abstract: The invention concerns an outer door grip, in particular for vehicles. The outer door grip exhibits a handle (10), which can operate a lock disposed in the door upon actuation. The outer door grip exhibits a pivotal blocking member (20), which is normally placed in its ineffective release position (21) and therewith enables actuation of the handle (10). The blocking member (20) passes into an effective blocking position (22.1, 22.2) based on the inertia of the mass of the blocking member (20) in case of a crash, whereby the handle (10) becomes blocked. The blocking member (20) has available two blocking positions (22.1, 22.2), wherein the blocking member (20) moves into the first blocking position (22.1) upon a crash out of a first direction (30.1) and wherein the blocking member (20) moves into the second blocking position (22.2) upon a crash out of a second direction (30.2) located opposite to the first direction (30.1).

  • Patent number: 7273991
Abstract: The invention relates to a handle with an integrated switch (20) for doors or hinged flaps of vehicles. The push-button switch is essentially made up of two components which can be fitted together. The first component (21) is made of a single-pieced injection-moulding product made of three plastic components which comprise a solid covering-shaped housing and an elastic membrane. Said membrane closes the housing cover (22) at the base on one end thereof, thus giving the component (21) a shell shape. A solid pressure activator (24) on the membrane (23) is used as the third plastic component. The second component (31) is formed from a circuit board (33) comprising connected cables (19) and a microswitch (30) mounted thereon. The second component (31) is inserted into the inside of a shell (26) of the first component (21). The circuit board (33) is oriented towards the shell opening (28) and is projected from the edge of the shell (43) of the shell-shaped component (21).
