  • Patent number: 10294701
Abstract: A cover device, includes a movable cover configured to cover retaining jaws of a retaining jaws module; a retaining cover connected to a side wall frame of a vehicle body and configured to enclose in the shape of a U an insertion end side of a retaining jaws module for insertion of a striker plate module to releasably couple with the retaining jaws module so as to connect a vehicle door with the side wall frame, and adjacent longitudinal sides of the retaining jaws module in transverse direction of the vehicle; and a rubber lip configured to elastically connect the retaining cover to the retaining jaws module and to compensate for tolerance compensation.

  • Patent number: 10041276
Abstract: A vehicle locking apparatus for a vehicle using a coupling device for the separable connection of a vehicle door to a vehicle structure part, includes a first coupling element with two locking wedges mounted so as to be displaceable parallel to one another and having wedge faces. At least one of the locking wedges is formed with a locking nose on the wedge-side end face, and a second coupling element interacts with the first coupling element. The second coupling has two retaining jaws receiving the first coupling element therebetween with wedge grooves having wedge faces. The locking wedges are pushed via a driving device into the wedge grooves by separation of the wedge faces apart from one other and the locking nose is thereby received in a locking opening arranged in a wedge groove of a retaining jaw.

  • Publication number: 20160053516
Abstract: A latching system includes a closing wedge module with two closing wedges supported for movement relative to one another and having wedge faces, and a closing wedge holder for movably receiving the closing wedges. A holding jaw module has two holding jaws to receive the closing wedge module there between. The holding jaws have keyways configured to complement a contour of the wedge faces of the closing wedges. A drive unit moves the closing wedges apart to thereby push the wedge faces into the keyways of the holding jaws and to couple a vehicle flap with a structural part of a vehicle body. At least one of the closing wedges has a predetermined breaking point to separate into a keyway-proximal part and a closing-wedge-holder-proximal part, when the closing wedge is pushed into the keyways and a stress resistance of the closing wedge is exceeded by a mechanical load during operation.

  • Publication number: 20150076840
Abstract: A coupling device for releasably connecting a pivotably mounted body part to a vehicle structural part includes a first coupling element and a second coupling element. The first coupling element has two locking bars which are configured as plate-shaped dosing wedges and are displaceable in relation to one another in a parallel manner. The dosing wedges have respective wedge faces. In order to couple the first and the second coupling element, a motorized driving device moves the locking bars apart from one another by using an operative connecting device. The second coupling element has two holding jaws, which receive the first coupling element therebetween. The holding jaws have respective keyways with respective wedge faces formed therein such that the dosing wedges are pressed into the keyways as a result of the dosing wedges being displaced apart from one another.
