    Abstract: Container, particularly a beer barrel, with a first part, made of plastics in the form of a vessel, open at one end, the part merging in the vicinity of the open end via a shoulder into a cylindrical part with enlarged diameter, which receives with a close fit a cylindrical end wall portion of a second part forming a closure for said end, means being provided for rigidly interconnecting the cylindrical part with enlarged diameter of the first part and the cylindrical end wall portion of the second part, such that a sealed transition between the shoulder and the peripheral portion of the end wall is obtained.
