  • Publication number: 20240094708
Abstract: An industrial automation component includes an electronic display that displays machine-readable indicia. The machine readable-indicia may be scanned by an image sensor. The industrial automation component also includes a processor communicatively coupled to the electronic display. The processor receives data associated with the industrial automation component and generates a first machine-readable indicia based on the data. The first machine-readable indicia may be displayed via the electronic display. The processor also receives updated data associated with the industrial automation component and generates a second machine-readable indicia based on the updated data. The second machine-readable indicia may be displayed via the electronic display.

  • Patent number: 11909199
Abstract: A method may include receiving, by respective processing circuitry of one or more power modules of an industrial automation device, a control signal from a controller of the industrial automation device. The power modules may include driver circuitry and a power converter that may provide power to a motor based on the signal. The method may also include, detecting, by the respective processing circuitry, a lack of communication from the controller based on the signal, and, in response to detecting the lack of communication from the controller, transmitting, by the respective processing circuitry, a first command to gating signal enable circuitry to disable the driver circuitry, and transmitting, by the respective processing circuitry, a second command to driver power circuitry to prevent power from being provided to the driver circuitry.

  • Publication number: 20230141686
Abstract: Embodiments of this present disclosure may include systems that perform operations including receiving a request to access data associated with an industrial automation device from a requesting device and identifying the industrial automation device based on the request. The operations may include sending a query for template data to the industrial automation device based on the request and receiving the template data. The operations may include determining a data structure based on the requesting device and generating the data structure based on the template data and a mapping between the data structure and the template data. The operations may additionally include sending the data structure to the requesting device.

  • Publication number: 20230093802
Abstract: A system may include one or more drives configured to receive a first alternative current (AC) voltage from a power source and provide a second AC voltage to one or more load devices. The system may further include one or more safety relay devices configured to couple the power source to the one or more drives and a communication device, where the communication device includes a processor. The processor may be configured to receive a first dataset via an Ethernet communication protocol, where the first dataset may include safety connection data indicative of one or more safety commands for controlling one or more operations of the one or more safety relay devices. The processor may further be configured to transmit a second dataset to the one or more safety relay devices via a subnet infrastructure, where the second dataset includes the one or more safety commands.

  • Patent number: 11362595
Abstract: For power converter pre-charge with line synchronization, a method magnetizes a power transformer of a power converter with a supply voltage from a variable voltage variable frequency supply. The method pre-charges power cells of the power converter fed from the power transformer to a specified voltage with the supply voltage. The method further modifies a primary amplitude, a primary phase, and a primary frequency of a primary winding of the power converter with the supply voltage to match a main amplitude, a main phase, and a main frequency of a main voltage of a main power source. In response to matching the primary amplitude, the primary phase, and the primary frequency to the main amplitude, the main phase, and the main frequency, the method connects the main power source to the power transformer.

  • Patent number: 9653910
Abstract: Motor drive diagnostic and control methods and apparatus are provided in which rectifier and inverter switching devices are individually monitored for malfunctions, and detected malfunctions initiate implementation of a safety function to signal a drive controller to shut down non-safety-related processing, to discontinue command pulse signaling to the switching devices, and to disable optical transmitters between the drive controller and the rectifier and inverter switches, and an input contactor or other switching circuit is opened to disconnect input power from the motor drive after implementation of the safety function.
