Abstract: A spool assembly and a cable management assembly are provided for supporting cables in a rack or housing. A mounting member is provided having a spool opening for receiving a spool. The spool opening has a longitudinal dimension and a transverse dimension where the longitudinal dimension is greater than the transverse dimension. A detent extends from a longitudinal side edge of the spool opening toward a second longitudinal side edge of the spool opening to define a first open portion and a second open portion. In one embodiment, the first open portion and second open portion can be substantially same size and have a substantially circular configuration. In another embodiment, the first open portion can have a dimension greater than a dimension of the second open portion.

Abstract: A channel for managing equipment cables that includes opposing first and second members and a third member extending between and connecting the first and second members. Each of the first and second members includes first and second inner and outer surfaces. At least one cable receiving area is defined between the first and second inner surfaces of the first and second members. First and second equipment mounting elements extend from each of the first and second outer surfaces of the first and second members. The first and second equipment mounting elements are connectable to equipment. A base support is coupled to at least one of the first and second members.

Abstract: A rack assembly has a rack and a first interconnect tower. The rack has a first face to receive a plurality of switches. The first interconnect tower has a second face to receive a first plurality of patch panels. The first interconnect tower is disposed adjacent the rack such that the second face of the first interconnect tower is proximal the first face of the rack allowing shorter patch cords to be used and occupying less floor space. A second interconnect tower having a third face to receive a second plurality of patch panels may be disposed adjacent the rack such that the third face of the second interconnect tower is proximal the first face of the rack.

The first end of the second arm is pivotally connected to the first arm and the second end of the second arm is releasably connected to the first end of the first arm. The third arm has first and second ends. The first end of the third arm is pivotally connected to the second end of the second arm, and the second end of the third arm is releasably connected to the first end of the second arm.
