Patent number: 11983808Abstract: A system for producing conversation-driven character animation includes a computing platform having processing hardware and a system memory storing software code, the software code including multiple trained machine learning (ML) models. The processing hardware executes the software code to obtain a conversation understanding feature set describing a present state of a conversation between a digital character and a system user, and to generate an inference, using at least a first trained ML model of the multiple trained ML models and the conversation understanding feature set, the inference including labels describing a predicted next state of a scene within the conversation. The processing hardware further executes the software code to produce, using at least a second trained ML model of the multiple trained ML models and the labels, an animation stream of the digital character participating in the predicted next state of the scene within the conversation.Type: GrantFiled: August 24, 2022Date of Patent: May 14, 2024Assignee: Disney Enterprises, Inc.Inventors: Sanchita Tiwari, Justin Ali Kennedy, Mark R. Patent number: 11954742Abstract: Systems and methods for sharing the information of an individual under care across at least two organizations in an integrated manner are described. These include systems and methods of data collection from multiple sources relating to the individual's care, where the data collection is driven by one or more preset orders. The preset orders may be preset by a user. A physical node may receive a request for authorization for a user in an organization to access an individual's information in another organization. The request may be logged. The physical node may determine whether the user is authorized to access the individual's information and, if it is, provide appropriate access.Type: GrantFiled: September 2, 2022Date of Patent: April 9, 2024Assignee: Therap Services, LLCInventors: Justin Mark Brockie, Md. Patent number: 11954740Abstract: Systems and methods are described which permit the state, the individual, the individual's case manager, and the individual's circle of support to have real time access to utilization data to monitor services and progress toward outcomes as part of a plan for achieving the individual's goals and maintain the individual's health and wellbeing, as well as to forecast future needs. Systems and methods for sharing billing information across at least two organizations in an integrated manner are also described. A physical node may receive a request for authorization for a user in an organization to access an individual's information in another organization. The request may be logged. The physical node may determine whether the user is authorized to access the individual's information and, if it is, provide appropriate access.Type: GrantFiled: December 29, 2021Date of Patent: April 9, 2024Assignee: Therap Services, LLCInventors: Justin Mark Brockie, Md. Patent number: 11916408Abstract: Disclosed herein is a wireless power delivery system including: a wireless power generation unit (GU) including: a GU antenna array; and a GU wireless communication circuit; and one or more recovery units (RUs), wherein each RU includes: an RU antenna array; and an RU wireless communication circuit. The GU antenna array is configured to use volumetric refocusing to scan the area for the one or more RUs by sweeping a wireless scan signal to be captured by the RU antenna array. The RU antenna array receives the wireless scan signal, the RU wireless communication unit is configured to transmit a wireless signal back to the GU wireless communication unit. The GU is configured to record the focal coordinates of each RU based upon the signal received by the GU from each RU. The GU is configured to emit a wireless power signal to the recorded focal coordinates of each RU.Type: GrantFiled: January 11, 2022Date of Patent: February 27, 2024Assignee: GuRu Wireless, Inc.Inventors: Behrooz Abiri, Seyed Ali Hajimiri, Mark Lewis

Publication number: 20120237172Abstract: Apparatus and methodology for providing a mechanical-only splice between two optical glass fibers. No fusion splicing is involved. A heat-shrinkable plastic ferrule containing an aperture extending from one end of the ferrule to the other accepts a different cleaved and cleaned optical fiber into each of its two ends, the fibers meeting at or near the middle of the ferrule in a parallel or coplanar manner forming a splice junction. Index matching gel is applied to at least one of the fiber ends before entering the aperture. Heat is applied to the ferrule to shrink it upon the portion of the two fibers within the ferrule (sealed fibers) and hold the splice junction in place. Epoxy can be applied to both ends of the ferrule to further seal the fiber splice junction, and to further enhance its integrity. If both fibers are sliced on an angle other than 90 degrees, when they touch inside the ferrule they are automatically coplanar without requiring intervening orientation.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 17, 2011Publication date: September 20, 2012Applicant: VERIZON PATENT AND LICENSING INC.Inventors: David Zhi CHEN, Mark A.
