Patent number: 12133516Abstract: A trap accessory for attachment to a marine trap that facilitates release of by-catch. A buoyant recovery buoy is operably attached to a trap frame secured to the marine trap. Components for operably attaching the recovery buoy to the trap frame include a latch and attachment components, of which at least one of these components is a Degradable Metal (DM). The DM maintains the integrity of the trap and trap accessory for a pre-determined time, typically 1 year or less. When one or more of the DM components are sufficiently degraded, the recovery buoy is released to open a slot through which animals can escape. A buoy line connected to the trap frame maintains connection between the marine trap and the recovery buoy, which assists in recovery of the marine trap.Type: GrantFiled: June 15, 2022Date of Patent: November 5, 2024Assignee: The Florida International University Board of TrusteesInventors: Mark Butler, Norman Munroe

Publication number: 20240157860Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a utility vehicle having a pivotable seat connected by a hinge to a fixed platform. The pivotable seat configured to pivot between a first position and a second position defining a standard seat location and a first wall of a cargo bay, respectively. A seatback is configured to form a second wall of a cargo bay when the pivotable seat is in the second position. First and second opposing side walls are positioned on either side of the pivotable seat. The side walls are configured to form barriers at either side of the cargo bay when the pivotable seat is in the second position.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 20, 2023Publication date: May 16, 2024Inventors: Gregory Harris McGraw, William David Reeves, JR., Joseph Mark Butler

Patent number: 11917421Abstract: The technologies described herein are generally directed to configuring carrier aggregation zones based on transmission information in a fifth generation (5G) network or other next generation networks. For example, a method described herein can include identifying, by carrier aggregation equipment including a processor, carrier transmission information corresponding to a first carrier signal and a second carrier signal. The method can further include analyzing, by the carrier aggregation equipment, the carrier transmission information to determine first overlap zone information representative of a first carrier overlap zone for the first carrier signal and the second carrier signal. Further, based on the first overlap zone information, the method includes facilitating configuring transmission parameter information representative of a transmission parameter applicable to transmission of the first carrier signal, to enable carrier aggregation by network equipment within the first carrier overlap zone.Type: GrantFiled: February 26, 2021Date of Patent: February 27, 2024Assignee: AT&T Mobility II LLCInventors: Shomik Pathak, Cecilia N. Nguyen, Harry Liu, James P. Daves, William D. Turczyn, Yang Wang, Mark Butler, Murari Lamsal, Jason E. Carter, Iftekhar Alam

Patent number: 10850583Abstract: A utility cart includes a suspension having an integral perch bracket having a plurality of legs structured to straddle an axle of the utility cart, and can include an opening into which a spring pin (e.g. a pin of a leaf spring) can be inserted. The perch bracket can alternatively include a brake cable attachment feature located on an end of the bracket. In one form the end can extend from one leg and be folded toward an opposing leg. The perch bracket can be cut from sheet stock of material, and stamped into final or near final form. In one embodiment a threaded nut can be attached to the legs of the perch bracket.Type: GrantFiled: December 28, 2017Date of Patent: December 1, 2020Inventors: Bryan D. Wilson, Adam Frederick Yule, Michael S. MacConney, William Leiter, Craig Pugh, Joseph Mark Butler

Publication number: 20150356127Abstract: Techniques for autonomous and automatic real-time publishing of content are described. In an example embodiment, one or more topic terms are obtained. A set of information that is related to the one or more topic terms is automatically acquired. Linguistic analysis on the set of information is automatically performed to determine a set of linguistic structures that are represented in the set of information. The set of linguistic structures is used to automatically create a set of content items that are responsive to searches that include the one or more topic terms. New content that includes the set of content items is then automatically published.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 17, 2015Publication date: December 10, 2015Inventors: JOHN M. PIERRE, JAMES HANKLE, MARK BUTLER, JOHN HELLWIG
