  • Publication number: 20250144923
Abstract: The disclosure provides a method for forming a core layer for a plurality of information carrying cards, a resulting core layer, and a resulting information carrying card. A first portion of a crosslinkable polymer composition is dispensed onto the first thermoplastic layer. A second thermoplastic layer having a plurality of through-holes therein is then applied. A second portion of the crosslinkable polymer composition is dispensed into each through-hole. An inlay layer is placed over the polymer composition inside each through-hole. A third portion of the crosslinkable polymer composition is dispensed over each inlay layer. A third thermoplastic layer or a release film is placed over the third portion of the crosslinkable polymer composition to provide a layered structure. Each respective inlay layer is configured to be movable and/or self-center inside each through-hole in the presence of the crosslinkable polymer composition when the layered structure is pressed on a pressure.

  • Patent number: 12260695
Abstract: Various electronic credentials comprising signal activation are disclosed. An electronic credential core comprises a controller configured to maintain an off-state until activated by a received signal during a personalization process. The electronic credential core further comprises an antenna configured to receive a first signal. The energy in the first signal is harvested by a signal interface. The signal interface generates a second signal using the harvested energy of the first signal. The second signal is provided to the controller. The controller transitions to an active state and continuously performs one or more functions until an onboard battery is depleted. By maintaining an off-state until personalization, the electronic credential can be stored without draining power from the battery, extending the shelf life of the electronic credential.

  • Patent number: 11934179
Abstract: A card manufacturing system includes a locating device and a separation device. A laminate sheet comprising a plurality of cards is received by the locating device and is imaged using first and second imaging modalities. The first imaging modality identifies a location of each of the plurality of information carrying cards within the laminate sheet and the second imaging modality images at least one graphic formed on a surface of the laminate sheet. A position of the at least one graphic with respect to at least one information carrying card is determined and the plurality of cards are removed from the laminate sheet using information corresponding to the location of each of the plurality of information carrying cards when the position of the at least one graphic with respect to the information carrying cards is within a predetermined range.

  • Publication number: 20240045041
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a method executed by a processor for navigating a moving vehicle through an environment. The processor captures the environment with a first sensor mounted on the moving vehicle to create first sensor data with a second sensor mounted on the moving vehicle to create second sensor data. The processor then determines a first trajectory of the first sensor and a second trajectory of the second sensor. The processor then estimates the spatial relationship between the first sensor and the second sensor based on the first trajectory and the second trajectory and uses the estimated spatial relationship to combine the first sensor data and the second sensor data into a combined multi-sensor representation of the environment. Finally, the processor navigates the moving vehicle based on the combined multi-sensor representation of the environment.

  • Patent number: 11734979
Abstract: An circuit includes a first inductive coil and a second inductive coil each including a plurality of metal traces. The first and second inductive coils are each configured to receive a first signal from an electromagnetic field and generate respective first and second output voltages. Each of the first inductive coil and the second inductive coil are configured to inductively couple to the electromagnetic field. A first circuit element is configured to receive the first output voltage and generate a first response at a first power level of the first output voltage. A second circuit element is configured to receive the second output voltage and transition to an active state to perform one or more functions when the second output voltage exceeds a second power level. The first and second power levels are related to movement of the first and second inductive coils through the electromagnetic field.
