  • Publication number: 20240065252
Abstract: A system includes an acoustic lure and a sensor package disposed within an interior volume of an insect trapping container and a computing device in communication with the acoustic lure and the sensor package configured to instruct the acoustic lure to output an acoustic tone. The computer device is further configured to receive sensor data from the sensor package, the sensor data representative of insects within the interior volume. Responsive to receiving the sensor data, the computing device is configured to instruct an imaging device to capture image data representative of the insects within the interior volume or determine insect count data based on the sensor data. The computing device is configured to then transmit output data to a remote computing system, the output data including at least one of a first portion of the image data or a second portion of the insect count data.

  • Patent number: 11759535
Abstract: A same-hand, finger-mounted, and finger-operated hand sanitizer dispensing system with finger-mounted or with remote-mounted fluid reservoir, is disclosed herein. The system is operable without risk of cross-contamination, and is operable by the contaminated hand for self-decontamination. A dispensing pump is mounted on one finger and operated by another finger on the same hand. The dispensing pump draws sanitizer from a reservoir by way of a supply tubing. The reservoir can be mounted on the same finger as the pump or on another finger of the same hand.

  • Patent number: 11197952
Abstract: A vascular access port can include a base that can be attached to a vessel and a body extending away from the base in at least a vertical direction. A height of the body in the vertical direction can be sufficiently small such that the entire port can be implanted subcutaneously in a patient. The port can include a guidance passageway that is at least partially defined by the body and can direct an access device into a vessel of a patient when the port is attached to the vessel. In some arrangements, the guidance passageway includes a funnel region that decreases in size from a proximal end of the guidance passageway toward a distal end of the guidance passageway that defines an opening through the bottom surface of the port.

  • Patent number: 11145043
Abstract: The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) to inspect autonomous vehicles. An autonomous vehicle carries a UAV (or “drone”) in a protected area, for example, in a glove compartment, trunk, etc. Between rides, the UAV can be deployed to inspect the autonomous vehicle. Images from the UAV can be sent to other components for image analysis. When an inspection is completed, the UAV can return to the protected area. The UAV can inspect both the interior and exterior of an autonomous vehicle. When an inspection is passed, the autonomous vehicle can begin a new ride. When an inspection is failed, the autonomous vehicle can report for repairs or summon a tow vehicle.
