  • Patent number: 7241960
Abstract: A button assembly comprising a panel having a hole and a button configured to extend through the hole. The assembly further includes an integral switch pad and gasket member, with the switch pad having a base and a flexible dome including a contact extending from the base. The gasket member is integrally connected to the switch pad at a transition line and includes an opening. The button is configured to be placed through the hole in the panel and the gasket member is configured to be repositioned relative to the switch pad along the transition line such that the opening in the gasket member is aligned with the hole in the panel and the button engages the gasket member. The flexible dome of the switch pad is configured to be aligned with the hole in the panel such that depression of the button collapses the dome of the switch pad.

  • Publication number: 20060057877
Abstract: A connector adapter facilitates establishing mechanical and electrical connections between two connectors. The connector adapter can be slid onto either of the two connectors and, when so slid, guides insertion of the other connector. In one embodiment, the connector adapter includes an adapter base located substantially within a plane. The adapter base defines an aperture to receive a first connector body having a first connector body height. A sleeve is proximate the adapter base. At least a portion of the sleeve extends in a direction substantially normal to the plane to a distance greater than the first connector body height. The sleeve has an inner width substantially equal to an outer width of a second connector body. The connector adapter can be slid onto one of the connector bodies and guides insertion of the other connector body to facilitate alignment of the connector bodies.

  • Publication number: 20040151394
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for encoding and decoding image data are provided. The method includes selecting a number of sequential image frames in an image frame sequence to achieve a desired encoding performance, such as high quality or low latency, performing a three-dimensional discrete cosine transform on image data in the image frame sequence to provide a three-dimensional matrix of coefficients, and processing the coefficients to provide an encoded bit sequence for transmission. A vehicle distribution system incorporating the encoding and decoding techniques is also provided. The vehicle distribution system includes one or more encoder nodes and one or more decoder nodes coupled to a network for distributing data in a vehicle.
