Patent number: 12222033Abstract: A hydrostatic transmission control system includes a controller that monitors inputs for shifting a transmission of a tractor to a different range gear; determines if an engine on the tractor is operating in a desired and acceptable shift range based on a sensed speed and a load of the engine, and determines if a hydrostatic transmission on the tractor is operating in a desired and acceptable shift range based on a sensed load and a speed of the hydrostatic transmission. If the controller determines the engine and the hydrostatic transmission are operating in the desired and acceptable shift range, the controller commands an oncoming clutch to ramp up and an off going clutch to ramp down, and synchronizes speeds of the engine and the hydrostatic transmission.Type: GrantFiled: October 24, 2022Date of Patent: February 11, 2025Assignee: DEERE & COMPANYInventors: John P. Kruckeberg, Mark A. Herman, David L. Sprinkle, Harry K. Voelp, IV, Tejal Sarda, Julie B. Kuyath, Steven P. Forssberg, Chad E. Schoneman

Patent number: 10677293Abstract: A work vehicle transmission has a disconnect device control assembly. The assembly includes a shaft having a rotation axis extending through a housing of the transmission. A disconnect device is mounted for co-rotation with the shaft about the rotation axis and has disengaged and engaged conditions. A gear is carried by the shaft to rotate about the rotation axis. The gear interacts with the disconnect device to rotate relative to the shaft in the disengaged condition and to co-rotate with the shaft in the engaged condition. A manifold is carried by the shaft and rotationally fixed relative to the rotation axis. The manifold defines a plurality of flow passages configured to route flow to the disconnect device. The manifold has an inner periphery that engages the shaft at a journal interface, which defines a flow passage for flow to pass from at least one of the flow passages of the manifold to the disconnect device.Type: GrantFiled: March 20, 2017Date of Patent: June 9, 2020Assignee: DEERE & COMPANYInventors: Mark A. Publication number: 20160208915Abstract: In accordance with an example embodiment, a transmission shifting apparatus may include a transmission having a plurality of gears and a clutch positioned between a power source and the transmission. A shift lever may operably connect to the transmission, such that movement of the shift lever causes the transmission to shift gears. A shift sensor may detect when the shift lever receives an operator input in a manner to generate a gear shift. A shift controller may selectively disengage the clutch when the shift sensor detects the operator input applied to the shift lever, and selectively engage the clutch when the shift controller determines the shift is complete.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 21, 2015Publication date: July 21, 2016Inventors: John J. Publication number: 20140165767Abstract: The present disclosure provides a gear shift assembly for shifting a transmission between a plurality of ranges. The assembly includes a user input adapted to be moved to induce a shift between two of the plurality of ranges and a shaft coupled to the user input. A movement of the user input induces a first movement of the shaft. The gear shift assembly also includes a first range member movably coupled to the shaft, where the first range member moves concomitantly with the shaft. A second range member is coupled to the shaft. The second range member also moves concomitantly with the shaft. The assembly further includes a control valve disposed in fluid communication with the second range member. The control valve is operably controlled in response to movement of the user input to direct fluid to the second range member to induce a second movement of the shaft.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 19, 2012Publication date: June 19, 2014Applicant: Deere and CompanyInventors: John J. Patent number: 6604769Abstract: The invention is a plate with three holes to function as a winch line attachment point and a length and angular adjustment for a chain attached to separated locations on a vehicle. One large hole is used to receive the winch line hook, and two smaller holes with angularly oriented chain locking slots are used to adjust the length of the chain attached to the towed vehicle. The material around the holes is reduced to the minimum size necessary to safely meet the rated towing capacity so that the weight of the plate is minimized.Type: GrantFiled: December 20, 2001Date of Patent: August 12, 2003Assignee: Lift-All Co., Inc.Inventors: Mark A. Herman, Jeffrey R. Kauffman, Jeffrey M. Klibert

Patent number: 6422624Abstract: The apparatus is a wire rope roundsling loop with an inspection window. The tubular cover on wire rope roundslings normally prevents visual inspection of the core to find damage or corrosion on the wire rope. The invention provides an open window in the cover over the core which can easily be worked around the roundsling to inspect the entire loop. An added feature is a window cover which is sewn on the cover in the region of the window and can be fastened closed to protect the wire rope and the window.Type: GrantFiled: March 20, 2001Date of Patent: July 23, 2002Assignee: Lift-All Company, Inc.Inventors: Jeffrey A. Patent number: 5660423Abstract: The apparatus is an abrasion guard for the webbing used with a lifting sling fitting. The abrasion guard is essentially a rod of polyethylene with a slot along one entire longitudinal edge and extensions or "ears" on both ends of the rod. The extensions have vertical slots centered on their outside edges. The shape permits a properly dimensioned guard to be snapped onto and around the inner edge of the straight bar of a "D" ring fitting, with the extensions extending up along the sides of the "D" ring. The extensions are made large enough in the dimension transverse to the plane of the "D" ring so that they extend beyond the thickness of the webbing looped around the straight bar of the ring and the abrasion guard. The extensions thereby act as skids to protect the webbing from damage as the ring is moved across an abrasive surface.Type: GrantFiled: March 5, 1996Date of Patent: August 26, 1997Assignee: Lift-All Company, Inc.Inventors: Mark A.
