  • Publication number: 20140095589
Abstract: A system and method for facilitating native client device application interaction with a web application. An example method includes monitoring request messages output from the web application; determining one or more of the request messages include an indication that the one or more request messages represent a request to implement an action that can be performed via one or more resources of a client device, and providing a signal in response thereto; and implementing the action in response to the signal. In a more specific embodiment, the method further includes employing a client request interceptor in communication with the web application to forward requests output by the web application and determined by the interceptor to be requests for native content or functionality to a native behavior dispatcher, which communicates with a native container application to facilitate implementing the action.

  • Publication number: 20140096024
Abstract: A menu application provides an integrated interface for launching multiple mobile applications from a dynamically configurable menu. Each of the mobile applications is associated with a servlet that provides the application's menu data to the menu application. The servlet may query design-time data and application run-time data to generate the menu data for the application. Additionally, the set of applications included by the menu application in a menu list may be based on a user authorization level, such that the menu list only includes applications that the user is authorized to access.

  • Patent number: 8610072
Abstract: System flow path designs that minimize the impact of gas diffusion sources and sinks. By reducing the magnitude of parasitic sources and sinks, lower rates of photosynthesis and transpiration can be more accurately measured, e.g., without the need for extensive empirical compensation. According to one aspect, a sensor head for use in a gas exchange analysis system includes a sample chamber defining a measurement volume for analysis of a sample, the sample chamber having an inlet and an outlet, and a flow splitting mechanism located proximal to the sample chamber, the mechanism configured to split a gas flow received at an input port from a remote source to a first output port and to a second output port, wherein the first output port is coupled with the inlet of the sample chamber.

  • Patent number: 8240118
Abstract: A hay rake having a central main frame member with left and right extendable spinner arms so that they swing toward and away from the main frame from a closed position for transportation to an open position for raking hay. Each spinner arm comprises at least one spinner disposed on its outer surface. Each spinner arm is attached to the main frame using a spinner arm knuckle-like joint which allows the spinner arm assemblies to move in both a horizontal and a vertical plane. Hay deflectors are attached under each spinner arm in front of the spinners to prevent wrapping of hay around rotating parts and to assist in moving tile hay toward the entrance of the baler.

  • Publication number: 20120120397
Abstract: Gas analyzer systems and methods for measuring concentrations of gases and in particular dry mole fraction of components of a gas. The systems and methods allow for rapid measurement of the gas density and/or dry mole fraction of gases for a number of environmental monitoring applications, including high speed flux measurements. A novel coupling design allows for tool-free removal of a cell enclosing a flow path to enable infield cleaning of optical components and to enable re-configuration between open- and closed-path analyzer configurations. In closed path configurations, the sample flow path is thermally isolated from the remainder of the gas analyzer to provide more accurate temperature measurements. Composite plastic/metal sample cells are presented with achieve this thermal isolation without compromising analyzer performance.

According to one aspect, a gas exchange analysis system includes a sample chamber defining a measurement volume for analysis of a sample, the sample chamber having an inlet and an outlet, wherein the internal surface(s) of the chamber defining the measurement volume are metal plated. The system also typically includes a source of gas coupled with the inlet of the sample chamber, and a gas analyzer coupled with the outlet of the sample chamber and configured to measure a concentration of one or more gases exiting the chamber, whereby the metal plated internal surface(s) of the chamber reduces sorption of the one or more gases within the chamber.

  • Publication number: 20100044523
Abstract: The present invention is designed to prevent the loss of artificial flowers from vases and is used for various sizes of vases. It attaches to the top of the flower vase in such a way that it does not impede the appearance of the existing vase. The present invention is inexpensive to manufacture and can be used with a wide variety of vases such as those found in cemeteries at grave sites. The present invention is a metal collar that is functional and does not take away from the appearance of the vase. The metal collar is available in two sizes. A larger one is made to fit around retangular vases that have a larger opening and a smaller one maybe used to fit the round vases. A flat adjustable band that attaches around the top of the flower vase has two screws, with one opposite the other, with an adjustable cord that reaches from one screw through the flower arrangement to secure at the other screw. The band has various pre-drilled holes for the screws to attach to the band.

  • Patent number: 7636742
Abstract: Information missing from a database record is automatically identified and retrieved. In an embodiment, after the record is initially populated, a status such as complete, incomplete, missing, or verify is assigned to each field in the record. A request for information associated with the status is automatically generated, for instance asking a client to provide missing information or verify existing information. The request is transmitted to the client and solicits the client's response in any of a number of ways, for instance by email, phone, fax, or mail. The information is used to automatically update the record.
