  • Publication number: 20200402751
Abstract: A disconnect switch assembly includes first and second disconnect switches with each of the first and second disconnect switch including a housing, a fixed main contact in the housing, and a movable main contact in the housing in cooperating alignment with the fixed main contact. Each of the movable main contacts is coupled to a (common) first actuator. A second actuator is coupled to the housing of the first disconnect switch and a third actuator is coupled to the housing of the second disconnect switch. The first actuator is configured to concurrently apply first and second motive forces (in opposing but in-line directions) to the movable contacts of the first and second disconnect switches. The second and third actuators are configured to apply a motive force to the housings that is in a direction opposing a respective motive force applied by the first actuator to the movable main contacts.

  • Patent number: 10786694
Abstract: An air-supply device for supplying breathing air into a breathing-air region. An inflow opening connected to an outflow region via an interior. An outflow region connected to the outflow region via the interior. The outflow region formed on a flexible, air-permeable material. For flexible use of the air-supply device and to avoid significant adverse effect to a user, provision is made for the air-supply device to have a sheet-like, flexible portion, which has a first flat side and a second flat side, located opposite the first. The outflow region arranged on the first flat side. The interior formed between the first flat side and the second flat side. In the interior, at least the outflow region has arranged on it at least one spacer, which prevents the outflow region from butting against the second flat side.

  • Patent number: 10326349
Abstract: A magnet linear actuator includes a first element and an armature situated on a support, with the armature being movable along a movement axis between a first position engaged with the first element and the second position spaced away from the first element along the movement axis. The actuator further includes a biasing element that biases the armature in a direction generally toward the second position. The first element or the armature is pivotable with respect to the other between a first orientation and a second orientation. In the first orientation, the first element and the armature have a first magnetic attraction to one another that is sufficient to overcome the bias of the biasing element and to retain the armature in the first position. In the second orientation, the first element and the armature have either a magnetic repulsion to one another or a weaker second magnetic attraction.

  • Patent number: 8853586
Abstract: An electrical switching apparatus includes two arc runners, two contacts in electrical communication with the respective runners, a movable contact having two portions respectively cooperating with the contacts to provide closed and open contact positions, and two arc chambers each including two ends, a longitudinal axis therebetween, and arc plates between the ends. A magnet assembly cooperates with the arc chambers to establish a generally unidirectional magnetic field normal to the axes, normal to a first direction of a first arc between one contact and the first portion as it moves away from the closed toward the open contact position, and normal to an opposite second direction of a second arc between the other contact and the second portion as it moves away from the closed toward the open contact position. The magnetic field causes one arc to enter one arc chamber depending upon current flow direction between the contacts.
