  • Publication number: 20250388089
Abstract: An electrical braking system for an electrified vehicle includes a battery system, an electric motor, an electrical energy management module and a controller. The electric motor is powered by the battery system and transfers drive torque to a driveline for propulsion of the vehicle and that selectively directs regenerative power to the battery system during regenerative braking in a first mode. The electrical energy management module has a first energy recovery system that stores additional energy from the regenerative power harnessed from the electric motor in a second mode and a first energy dissipation system that dissipates additional energy from the regenerative power in a third mode. The controller receives an input from a brake pedal indicative of a braking event of the electrified vehicle and, responsive to the input, determines whether to direct the regenerative power in at least one of the first, second and third modes.

  • Publication number: 20250074428
Abstract: A method for controlling a prime mover of a vehicle traveling on a surface including loose particles includes the steps of determining a vehicle speed and a rotational speed of a vehicle wheel. Then comparing the vehicle speed to the rotational speed of the vehicle wheel and if the difference between the rotational speed of the vehicle wheel and the vehicle speed is greater than a threshold, then reducing the power provided to the wheel to maintain the difference between the rotational speed and the vehicle speed within the threshold.

  • Publication number: 20240246607
Abstract: A vehicle configured to perform a tank steer operation includes a differential having a differential case, first and second half shafts operably coupled to the differential, a drive unit configured to drive the vehicle, and a gearbox assembly coupled to the drive unit. The vehicle is selectively operable in a tank steer mode that rotates one or more wheels on a first side of the vehicle in a first direction, and rotates one or more wheels on an opposite second side of the vehicle in a second direction opposite the first direction to rotate the vehicle. The vehicle operates in the tank steer mode by selectively grounding the differential case and connecting an output of the gearbox assembly to the first half shaft, such that the drive unit rotates the first half shaft in the first direction and, via the differential, rotates the second half shaft in the second direction.

  • Publication number: 20240248101
Abstract: The invention provides a method involving assessing the vitamin C renal leak status of a human subject, vitamin C renal leak being the clinically inappropriate presence of vitamin C in urine. The method comprises assaying for the concentration of vitamin C in a plasma sample and in collected urine output, whereby the presence of vitamin C in the collected urine output and a concentration of vitamin C in the plasma sample less than the Minimum Elimination Threshold (MET) indicates the presence of vitamin C renal leak. Vitamin C renal leak also can be quantified by determining the fractional excretion of vitamin C (FeVC), which is a measurement of the degree of urinary vitamin C excretion relative to plasma vitamin C concentration corrected by creatinine clearance. The invention also provides a test kit for assessing vitamin C renal leak and a test kit for assessing FeVC.

  • Patent number: 9361054
Abstract: Initiating document management in an enterprise network from outside of the network can challenge information technology (IT) specialists because many solutions require altering security of the enterprise network. In an embodiment, a method includes polling, from an automated agent in an agent-side network, a server in a cloud-side network for a request to access a document management resource of the agent-side network via an interface between the agent-side network and cloud-side network The method further includes, responsive to the polling, downloading the request via the interface between the agent-side network and the cloud-side network. The method additionally includes issuing the request to the document management resource to cause the document management resource to access a document stored on a device of the agent-side network and perform an operation associated with the request. The method, therefore, enables a user access to the document management resource from outside of an enterprise network.
