    Abstract: Load carrying apparatus, comprising, in combination first and second elongated load carrying straps straps, there being at least three openings at the end portion or portions of at least one strap, the end loop being defined by webbing, and including an overlay fabric cushion extending overlying the webbing at the inner side of loop, the overlay fabric cushion being folded over opposite edges of the end loop, and extending as elongated spaced bands which are attached to the webbing at a side or sides of the loop, the loops having elongated sections which face each other, the bands foreshortened in the elongation directions of the sections, whereby loop flexibility at section locations spaced endwise from the bands is preserved.
