Patent number: 12159267Abstract: An example operation includes one or more of receiving, by a server, characteristics related to a transport within a time period, wherein the characteristics are related to a condition of the transport, an operation behavior of the transport and an upkeep of the transport, providing, by the server, one or more actions to perform by the transport to increase a level of the characteristics, and responsive to the level of the characteristics being increased, determining, by the server, a next use of the transport after the time period.Type: GrantFiled: August 29, 2022Date of Patent: December 3, 2024Assignee: TOYOTA MOTOR NORTH AMERICA, INC.Inventors: Ryan T. Oehler, Joshua C. Batie, Steve Basra, Brian M. Kursar, Mark A. McClung

Patent number: 12033192Abstract: An example operation includes one or more of obtaining, by a transport, data related to a performance of the transport, determining, by the transport, a performance level of the transport based on the obtained data, dynamically revising, by the transport, the performance level based on a current use of the transport, and determining, by the transport, a next use of the transport, based on the dynamically revised performance level.Type: GrantFiled: October 30, 2020Date of Patent: July 9, 2024Assignee: TOYOTA MOTOR NORTH AMERICA, INC.Inventors: Ryan T. Oehler, Joshua C. Batie, Steve Basra, Brian M. Kursar, Mark A. McClung

Publication number: 20240037629Abstract: A method for determining alternative fuel vehicle options for a driver includes obtaining, with a controller, a vehicle driving dataset for a first vehicle, where the vehicle driving dataset comprises CAN bus data of the first vehicle logged for a period of time, assigning points to one or more alternative fuel vehicles based on application of a set of point-based rules to one or more subsets of the vehicle driving dataset, identifying a second vehicle from the one or more alternative fuel vehicles having a greatest number of assigned points, and outputting an alternative fuel vehicle recommendation comprising the second vehicle.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 29, 2022Publication date: February 1, 2024Applicant: Toyota Connected North America, Inc.Inventors: Mark A. McClung, Joshua C. Batie, Imad Zahid, Daniel E. Holman, Gianna E. Coburn, Zach E. Stallbohm

Patent number: 11636491Abstract: Fueling verification systems and methods for corroboration of vehicle fueling are described herein. The systems and methods provide for verifiable transmission of data collected from a remote source to assure data integrity and maintain proper fuel transmission as part of vehicle fueling. The systems and methods can include collecting a first fuel measure for a fueling process from a delivery source. A second fuel measure can be recorded into a blockchain. The second fuel measure for the fueling process can be received from a recipient source. Then, the first fuel measure and the second fuel measure can be correlated to determine a fueling offset. Then, the delivery source and/or the recipient source can be compensated based on the fueling offset.Type: GrantFiled: January 15, 2019Date of Patent: April 25, 2023Assignee: Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc.Inventors: Mark A. McClung, Michael C. Edwards

Patent number: 11615349Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for a cross-linked distributed ledger. The cross-referencing system includes multiple computing devices including a first computing device and a second computing device. A computing device of the multiple computing devices is configured to maintain a first cross-linked distributed ledger. The first cross-linked distributed ledger has a first set of multiple linked records that are associated with a first identifier. The first computing device includes a processor. The processor is configured to link or provide a first record associated with the first identifier to the first cross-linked distributed ledger. The first record has a first reference to a second record. The second record is within a second set of multiple cross-linked records of a second cross-linked distributed ledger.Type: GrantFiled: November 26, 2018Date of Patent: March 28, 2023Assignee: Toyota Motor North America, Inc.Inventors: Neil Dutta, Senthilkumar Gopal Kalaimani, Emily S. Lerner, Mathew Gardner, Ashok Ramadass, Michael C. Edwards, Mark A. McClung, Ryan Wheeler
