  • Patent number: 12543654
Abstract: A pre-cutter assembly includes at least one knife rotatable about a knife rotation axis between a retracted position and a deployed position, and an associated engagement arm rotatable about an arm rotation axis between a latch position securing the knife in the deployed position, and a release position allowing the knife to move into the retracted position. A magnet may be positioned for engagement with the engagement arm when the engagement arm is disposed in the latch position. The magnet is operable to apply a magnetic force to the engagement arm when engaged with the engagement arm to hold the engagement arm in the latch position thereby securing the knife in the deployed position. A cam shaft having a cam lobe may be rotated to selectively move the engagement arm between the release position and the latch position.

  • Publication number: 20260013441
Abstract: A bale ejection system includes an outer carrier plate an inner carrier plate, and a linear actuator attached to the inner carrier plate. A bale spear is coupled to the outer carrier plate via a linkage bar. A return stroke latch system secures the outer carrier plate relative to the frame during an initial portion of a return stroke while allowing the inner carrier plate to move along a longitudinal axis in a second longitudinal direction during the initial portion of the return stroke, whereby the linkage bar moves the bale spear along a spear axis from an extended position into a retracted position for disengaging from the bale.

  • Patent number: 8322276
Abstract: A large cylindrical baler is equipped with a bale control device coupled to fixed forward side wall sections of the baling chamber and being selectively operated such that front and rear bale control members of the device are respectively located behind and forward of a space into which a completed bale may be discharged, with the rear bale control member engaging a discharged bale so as to halt the rolling inertia imparted to the bale during discharge, the front and rear bale control members thus cooperating for locating the bale at rest. Once the bale is at rest, the rear bale control member is moved to a bale-clearing position wherein the rear bale control member may move forwardly relative to the bale without coming into contact with the bale.
