  • Publication number: 20220202622
Abstract: A cover for protecting a tissue site may comprise a shell layer, an adhesive disposed on the shell layer, and a contact layer disposed adjacent to the adhesive. The contact layer may have a first pattern of apertures and bridges, and the shell layer may have a second pattern of apertures overlaying the bridges. In some examples, the adhesive may have a bond strength that is greater than the tensile modulus of the shell layer. The contact layer may have an open area of about 40 percent to about 50 percent of the total area of the contact layer. A release liner may be disposed adjacent to the contact layer. Perforations through the shell layer and the contact layer can define a sacrificial segment configured to be separated from the shell layer and the contact layer. A handling bar may be coupled to the sacrificial segment.

  • Patent number: 11358099
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices related to removing fluids from a patient are provided. In one instance, fluid is removed from the patient and delivered to a canister using reduced pressure. Reduced pressure is supplied to the canister via a reduced-pressure delivery conduit that includes a moisture processing device and a hydrophobic filter. The moisture processing device condenses moisture from the air to prevent condensation from occluding the hydrophobic filter. The moisture processing devices includes an expanded volume and one or more liquid-impermeable, vapor-permeable membranes. The liquid-impermeable, vapor-permeable membrane allows vapor to egress the moisture processing device. Other systems, methods, and devices are presented.

  • Patent number: 11340925
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to action recipes for a crowdsourced digital assistant. Users can define an action recipe by recording a set of inputs across one or more applications, by providing multiple sub-commands in a single on-the-fly command, by providing one or more associated commands, or otherwise. An action recipe dataset is generated, and stored and indexed on a user device and/or on an action cloud server. As such, any user can invoke an action recipe by providing an associated command to a crowdsourced digital assistant application on a user device. The crowdsourced digital assistant searches for a matching command on the user device and/or the action cloud server, and if a match is located, the corresponding action recipe dataset is accessed, and the crowdsourced digital assistant emulates the actions in the action recipe on the user device.

  • Patent number: 11338078
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses are presented that facilitate the provision of reduced pressure to a tissue site by using a delivery-and-fluid-storage bridge, which separates liquids and gases and provides a flow path for reduced pressure. In one instance, a delivery-and-fluid-storage bridge includes a delivery manifold for delivering reduced pressure to a treatment manifold at the tissue site and an absorbent layer proximate the delivery manifold adapted to receive and absorb liquids. The delivery manifold and the absorbent layer are encapsulated in an encapsulating pouch. A first aperture is formed proximate a first longitudinal end of the delivery-and-fluid-storage bridge for fluidly communicating reduced pressure to the delivery manifold from a reduced-pressure source, and a second aperture is formed on a patient-facing side of the delivery-and-fluid-storage bridge. Reduced pressure is transferred to the tissue site via the second aperture. Other systems, apparatuses, and methods are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11318240
Abstract: A system and method for performing tissue therapy may include applying a reduced pressure to a tissue site of a patient. A fluid parameter associated with applying a reduced pressure to the tissue site may be sensed. An audible fluid leak location sound may be generated in response to sensing the fluid parameter. The audible fluid leak location sound may be altered in response to sensing that the fluid parameter changes. By altering the audible fluid leak location sound in response to sensing a change of the fluid parameter, a clinician may detect location of a fluid leak at the drape by applying force to the drape. The force applied to the drape may be a clinician pressing a finger onto an edge of the drape.
