  • Publication number: 20240279193
Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods of improving the life of high selectivity, silver catalysts for making ethylene oxide. Ethylene and oxygen are reacted over the high efficiency catalyst with at least one organic chloride modifier, and during a catalyst aging period of no less than 0.03 kt ethylene oxide/cubic meter catalyst, the overall catalyst chloriding effectiveness never exceeds an efficiency-maximizing optimum overall catalyst chloriding effectiveness value that corresponds to a reference feed gas composition and a set of reference reaction condition values. Reaction temperature and/or feed gas oxygen concentration are adjusted to obtain or maintain a desired value of an ethylene oxide production parameter. Once the reaction temperature and/or oxygen concentration vary by a specified amount from their respective reference values in the set of reference reaction condition values, the overall catalyst chloriding effectiveness is changed to account for a shift in the optimum (efficiency-maximizing) value.

  • Patent number: 12064661
Abstract: A system and method for providing an exercise bar for a user to use for rowing or other exercises in the water of the spa or adjacent to the spa. The exercise bar may comprise a central hub, and two sides, each with a first inner tube attached to opposing side of the central hub and a an outer tube in telescoping connection with the inner tube, and a handgrip in connection with the first outer tube. A connector may be mounted to the central hub, the connector to enable the exercise bar to be connected to one or more resistance cables. The exercise bar may be adjustable from a first, shorter length for use with exercises in which a user's hands are positioned closer together and a second, longer length for use with exercises in which a user's hands are positioned father apart.

  • Publication number: 20230321082
Abstract: There is disclosed a compound selected from triazole analogues or pharmaceutically acceptable salt, hydrate, solvate or prodrug thereof is for use in inhibiting a tripartite VAP-A, ORP3 and Rab7 (VOR) protein complex in multicellular organisms by interfering with at least one mechanism of: intercellular communication, wherein the intercellular communication is mediated by receptor-ligand interaction and/or EVs; and viral infection involving the transport of endocytosed biomaterials to the nucleus of recipient cells.

  • Patent number: 9960541
Abstract: A subsea connector includes a recess arranged on an inner surface of the housing of the subsea connector. The recess is configured to receive a canted coil spring such that it provides an electrical multi-point contact between an outer shielding layer, sometimes referred to as a screen, of a subsea cable. The subsea connector further includes a link configured to releasably attach an earth link wire to the housing.
