  • Publication number: 20240107956
Abstract: A method for excluding an aggressive incompatibility (AI) trait from Agaricus bisporus mushroom strains, wherein the method includes mating a culture of a hybrid mushroom line designated B18287-s82, a representative culture of the line having been deposited under NRRL Accession No. 68168, with a culture of the white mushroom line designated WBL-s290, to obtain an F1 hybrid mushroom strain designated J19109, a representative culture of the F1 strain having been deposited under NRRL Accession No. 68163. Upon fruiting a culture of the new F1 strain designated J19109 to obtain homokaryotic spores therefrom, one obtains cultures of homokaryotic lines from the homokaryotic spores from F1 strain J19109 and selects a culture of a homokaryotic line from the F1 strain J19109. The culture of a homokaryotic line from F1 strain J19109 is mated with a culture of the mushroom line designated J11500-s80, to obtain an F2 hybrid mushroom strain.

  • Publication number: 20220319075
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for receiving a plurality of customized avatars where each customized avatar within the plurality of customized avatars include a first and second image layer. The first image layer includes input of text data overlaid on top of the second image layer, and the second image layer includes a personalized avatar. The system and method further includes receiving a modification of the input of text data from a text interface, generating a third image layer including a representation of text data associated with the modification of the input of text data, removing the first image layer from each of the customized avatars and overlaying the third image layer on top of the second image layer of each of the customized avatars.

  • Patent number: 8914740
Abstract: A user interface is provided for allowing a user to interact with a graphical display, so as to facilitate comparative viewing of components of the display. A bar graph or other quantitative display is provided, wherein each bar is divided into a plurality of segments. Responsive to user input, segments of a given kind, in different bars, are realigned with one another along a common baseline, so that their sizes can be more easily compared with one another. In at least one embodiment, the realignment is transitory, and the original graph is restored upon further user input and/or after some predetermined time period.

  • Publication number: 20130112745
Abstract: A transaction product includes a housing and a transaction card. The housing defines a storage chamber and a substantially planar surface. The substantially planar surface defines a perimeter portion and a recessed portion surrounded by, spaced from, and extending substantially parallel to the recessed portion to define a recess. The housing includes opposing tabs extending from the perimeter portion, toward each other, and partially across the recessed portion. The transaction card includes a machine-readable account identifier linking the transaction card to an account or record remote from the transaction product and having a value available for use as payment toward a purchase. The transaction card defines two opposing edges each selectively secured between the recessed portion of the substantially planar surface and a different one of the opposing tabs.

  • Patent number: 8430054
Abstract: A portable fingerprint development system having a container and a base plate. The container includes a plurality of joined walls that present an opening and a rim surrounding the opening. The base plate has opposed first and second surfaces. The first surface mounts a heater that is operable to heat a fingerprint development material. The base plate is moveable between a transport position, in which the first surface is adjacent the container's rim and the heater is positioned within the container, and an operation position, in which the second surface is adjacent the container's rim to enclose an interior volume defined by the container's walls and the base plate. Preferably, an exhaust system is mounted on the first surface of the base plate for removing and/or filtering fumes within the container.

  • Patent number: 8011578
Abstract: A system for managing voucher use includes a database, a voucher, and a processor. The database stores an account defining at least one approved item available for purchase and a financial balance. The voucher includes an identifier linking the voucher to the account. The processor is in communication with the database and is adapted to use the identifier to access the account. The processor is adapted to determine if an item selected for purchase is an approved item and to apply at least a portion of the financial balance toward the purchase of the selected item only if the selected item is an approved item. Other voucher systems and associated methods are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 7997483
Abstract: A method of providing and processing a plurality of stored-value cards includes providing a stored-value card assembly including the plurality of stored-value cards in a housing. The plurality of stored-value cards includes a first stored-value card and a last stored-value card. Each of the plurality of stored-value cards is associated with a different account identifier linking each one of the plurality of stored-value cards to a different financial record or account. The different account identifiers collectively define a series of account identifiers. The method further includes scanning the different account identifier associated with the first stored-value card using a point-of-sale terminal, and scanning the different account identifier associated with the last stored-value card using the point-of-sale terminal. The housing indicates which of the different account identifier associated with the first stored-value card and the last stored-value card should be scanned first.
