  • Publication number: 20120014621
Abstract: A urology drainage bag system has disposable clamps and/or bands that are disposed of along with the disposable urology drape. The drape, clamps, and band may comprise an integrated system for disposal as a unit. In some embodiments, the drape, clamps, and band are assembled together at the time of manufacture and sold as an integrated unit such that assembly of the drape onto the band by the end users at the point of use is not needed. Several plastic molded clamp embodiments are disclosed. Alternative methods and devices for supporting a flexible band and drainage bag relative to an OR table are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 6480149
Abstract: An accessory module for a user terminal is disclosed that utilizes information broadcast from the GPS system to determine the user terminal's position on the earth. An improved electrical interface between the GPS accessory module and the user terminal is utilized that takes advantage of pre-existing electrical interfaces within the user terminal. The accessory module also includes a method and apparatus for managing its power consumption. A set of mechanical interfaces among the components of the GPS accessory module are disclosed for minimizing electrical path lengths, noise and crosstalk in the accessory module, and for providing for mechanical mounting of the components. A mechanical interface between the user terminal and the accessory module is also disclosed for coupling to an existing user terminal in place of that user terminal's removable battery pack.

  • Patent number: 5893182
Abstract: A combination ottoman, table or desk and a foldable sleeper bed comprises upper and lower wooden frame sections, the lower frame section being configured as an open top box, atop which the upper frame section is located. The two frame sections are interconnected by a pair of opposed four-bar linkages which permit the upper frame section to be moved between a first position in which it rests atop and encloses the lower frame section, and a second raised position in which it is spaced upwardly and rearwardly from the lower frame section. Contained within the enclosure defined by the upper and lower frame sections, there is a foldable sleeper bed having pivotally interconnected head, body, intermediate and foot sections, which sections are extendable forwardly from the lower frame section when the upper frame section is in the second raised position to form a bed and foldable to fit and be contained within the enclosure when the bed is collapsed and stored.

  • Patent number: 5476699
Abstract: An extrusion interlock assembly provides for the joining of two or more extruded pieces at an interlocking joint that may be slideably mated to produce an easily assembled and disassembled assembly. On one side, the interlocking joint has a first channel mechanically connected to the first side, and a first flange adjacent to the first channel also mechanically connected to the first side. On the other side, the interlocking joint similarly has a second channel and a second flange, both mechanically connected to the second side. The second channel slidably receives the first flange, and the second flange slidably receives the first channel. A fastener laterally displaces the first flange away from the second flange, and the first channel away from the second channel, causing the first flange to frictionally engage the second channel, and the second flange to frictionally engage the first channel.
