Abstract: The present invention relates to an amphiphilic branched copolymer obtainable by an addition polymerisation process, preferably a free-radical polymerisation process, which is the reaction product of: (a) an initiator, optionally but preferably a free-radical initiator, (b) optionally but preferably a compatible chain transfer agent (E and E?), (c) at least one ethylenically monounsaturated monomer (G and/or J), (d) at least one ethylenically polyunsaturated monomer (L), wherein at least one of E, E?, G, J and L is a hydrophilic residue; and at least one of E, E?, G, J and L is a hydrophobic residue, and the mole ratio of (d) to (c) is greater than 0.0005 to 1. The invention further relates to a branched copolymer particle comprising such an amphiphilic branched copolymer, methods for their preparation, compositions containing such copolymers and particles and their use as, for instance, encapsulating agents, nanoreactors, Pickering emulsifiers, controlled release agents and/or triggered release agents.

Abstract: A method, system, and program for origin device initiated callee identification are provided. At an origin device, a voice utterance of a callee is detected from a destination device. A callee identity associated with the voice utterance is identified at the origin device, such that the callee identity is transmittable as an authenticated identity of the callee for a call. A caller may select whether to continue a call dependent upon whether the callee identity is preferable. In addition, an intermediary device may receive the callee identity and specify services available during the call according to the callee identity.

Abstract: A method, system, and program for logging calls according to call context are provided. A context for a call is detected, where the context include information such as the parties to a call, whether a backup party is accessed, where the call is on behalf of another, the locations of the parties to the call, the subject matter of the call, tariffs applied during the call, billing for telephone services accessed during the call, and orders placed during the call. At least one context based logging request valid for the context for the call is accessed from among multiple context based logging requests stored for multiple parties. Parties requesting logging may include parties to the call, on behalf of parties, third parties, and guardians. The context is logged according to the context based logging request.

Abstract: A method, system, and program for billing for service provided to destination device according to the calling plan of the individual receiving the call. An authenticated identity for a callee answering a call placed to a destination device is received at an intermediary device. The intermediary device then accesses a billing plan for the authenticated identity of the callee and loads the billing plan for specifying charges for the call, such that telephone service billed to the callee is accessible at multiple destination devices.

Abstract: A turbine rotor blade includes a hollow airfoil joined to a platform and dovetail. A main flow channel extends longitudinally in span through the blade and is bound chordally by opposite partitions transversely bridging opposite sidewalls of the airfoil. A damper rib and transversely opposite damper pad are arranged together in a plurality of pairs spaced longitudinally apart in the airfoil and chordally positioned intermediate to the partitions to provide unobstructed forward and aft portions of the flow channel for channeling a coolant therethrough. The damper ribs and pads are configured to receive a wire damper through the channel to locally dampen vibration while minimizing obstruction of the coolant flow therethrough.

Abstract: A method, system, and program for billing for orders placed from a destination device according to the calling plan of the individual receiving the call. An authenticated identity for a callee answering a call placed to a destination device is received at an intermediary device. The intermediary device then accesses a billing plan for the authenticated identity of the callee and loads the billing plan for specifying charges for the call. When an order is placed by the callee with a caller, billing specifications for the order are automatically filled in from the billing plan. Responsive to a single entry by the callee at the destination telephony device, an authorization for billing the order according to the billing specifications is generated.

A billing plan associated with an authenticated caller identity of a caller using an origin device is accessed by a vendor order center during a call placed to the vendor order center. At least one account provider is specified in the billing plan. A selection of one from among multiple account providers is specified for the order. The caller then authorizes the order and a bill for the order is transferred according to the authenticated caller identifier and the authorization for the account provider selection, such that the vendor order center is enabled to bill for the order with limited authenticated account information.

Abstract: A method, system, and program for billing for service provided to an origin device according to the current caller billing plan. A trusted telephone network, including at least one service provider, receives a request for service from an origin device. The origin device is associated with a line number to be billed for according to a line subscriber billing plan. An identity of a caller requesting the service from the origin device is authenticated. Then, a billing plan associated with the authenticated caller identity is accessed and utilized to replace or supplement the line subscriber billing plan, such that billing for service provided at an origin device is specified according to the caller currently utilizing the origin device.

Abstract: A process for producing N-carboxyanhydrides is disclosed. The process produces N-carboxyanhydrides as a product and HCl as a by-product. The HCl by-product is purged from the reaction mixture by passing a purge gas through the reaction mixture as a carbonylation reagent is reacting with an amino acid or a salt thereof. The N-carboxyanhydrides produced by this process have a relatively lower chloride impurity content, relatively higher yields can be achieved, and the N-carboxyanhydrides can be produced on a larger scale.

Abstract: A method, system, and program for managing use of experts by callers waiting within a hold queue are provided. First, a call on hold in a hold queue is transferred to an expert system responsive to a request by the caller to speak with an expert. Then, responsive to detecting an answer by a party at the expert system, an authentication of the identity of the answering party is required. If the authenticated identity of the answering party matches an expected expert identity, then the call is connected to the expert, such that the expert is required to authenticate an identity before providing service to a call from the hold queue.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and products for informing a caller of a callee identity are disclosed that include: detecting a call receipt condition from a destination device at a trusted telephone network; brokering a connection between said destination device and an external server enabled to perform a callee identity authentication service; and responsive to receiving, from said external server, an authenticated callee identity of a callee utilizing said destination device, transferring said authenticated callee identity to an origin device, such that a caller initiating said call at said origin device is informed of an identity of a party answering said call.

Abstract: A coating system and coating method for damping vibration in an airfoil of a rotating component of a turbomachine. The coating system includes a metallic coating on a surface of the airfoil, and a ceramic coating overlying the metallic coating. The metallic coating contains metallic particles dispersed in a matrix having a metallic and/or intermetallic composition. The metallic particles are more ductile than the matrix, and have a composition containing silver and optionally tin. The method involves ion plasma cleaning the surface of the airfoil before depositing the metallic coating and then the ceramic coating.

Abstract: A device is provided for positioning a first structural member relative to a second structural member, the second structural member being attractable to a magnetic material. The device comprises a body comprising the magnetic material and having an engagement surface adapted for engagement with and magnetic attachment to a surface of the second structural member. An elongate lever arm having a first lever arm end is connected to the body. A second lever arm end extends laterally outward from the body. The device further comprises a jacking arrangement attached to the second lever arm end. Abstract: A method, system, and program for allowing callers to adjust in position within a hold queue are provided. An advancement token earned by a caller while waiting in a hold queue is detected. The advancement token is stored for redemption in a future call by the caller according to an authenticated identifier for the caller, wherein future redemption of the advancement token will cause adjustment of a waiting position. In particular, a caller in the call hold queue may earn advancement tokens by answering questions posed by other callers in the call hold queue, where the questions are answered in a manner such that the other callers do not need additional aid from a representative. In addition, a caller may redeem advancement tokens earned in a previous hold queue while waiting in current hold queue, where the redeemable advancement tokens are accessible across multiple call centers according to the caller identification.

The central server may be accessible to multiple call centers, where each call centers accesses and updates caller profiles according to a single caller identifier for each caller. In addition, call times estimates and factors utilized to calculate call time estimates may be output to a caller, preferably according to an output interface specified by the caller in the caller profile.
