Patent number: 10329819Abstract: A gate has an adjustable spring hinge with an L-shaped member joining a first bracket to a second bracket by a rotatable bolt that extends through the L-shaped member and threadingly engages a sleeve. One end of the L-shaped member is coupled to the adjustable spring hinge, which is coupled to one of the two brackets. The other of the two brackets includes the sleeve that engages a threaded shaft of the bolt. Thus, a gap width between the first bracket and the second bracket is adjusted by rotating the bolt in a first direction or a second direction, opposite of the first direction.Type: GrantFiled: August 31, 2017Date of Patent: June 25, 2019Assignee: THE GOVERNOR AND COMPANY OF THE BANK OF IRELAND, AS COLLATERAL AGENTInventor: Mark Weldon

Patent number: 10227795Abstract: A gate latch comprises a pivot point formed by a bolt and a collar, the collar extending from a bottom plate and into the hole of a top plate. The bolt extends into the collar and retains the top plate on the collar and the bottom plate. For example, the gate latch includes a biasing mechanism, such as a spring, secured within a slot of the bottom plate and protected from accidental damage that could occur if the spring were more exposed. The latch may be reversible using a plate that can be flipped in either right or left opening.Type: GrantFiled: June 4, 2015Date of Patent: March 12, 2019Assignee: THE GOVERNOR AND COMPANY OF THE BANK OF IRELAND, AS COLLATERAL AGENTInventor: Mark Weldon

Patent number: 9879457Abstract: A trolley assembly comprises a frame incorporating at least one tire encompassing a wheel bearing and a bumper comprising a first portion made of a comparably incompressible material and a second portion made of a comparably compressible material. The bumper is mounted on the frame such that the bumper moves upon impact with an object, compressing the compressible material. For example, the incompressible material may be a polyamide and the compressible material may be a neoprene extrusion.Type: GrantFiled: February 5, 2015Date of Patent: January 30, 2018Assignee: Weldon Industries, Inc.Inventor: Mark Weldon

Publication number: 20160084842Abstract: A porous hydrogel sensor that is responsive to the presence of one or more target compounds in solution is synthesized based on demixing of certain molecules in the presence of a target compound. The porous hydrogel sensor may include fluorescently tagged antibodies that are noncovalently bound to the gel and then released in the presence of the target antigen. The porous hydrogel sensor may alternatively include dissolvable cross-links using polymerized antibody and antigen complexes so that, in the presence of the target antigen, the cross-links will be displaced and the hydrogel will dissolve.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 30, 2015Publication date: March 24, 2016Applicant: Syracuse UniversityInventors: Yan-Yeung Luk, Mark Weldon, Gauri Shetye, Andrew Basner, Karen Simon, Erik Burton

Publication number: 20140324542Abstract: A mixed voice and data communications means between users having a media deliver means and users having a feedback means intermediated over the communications cloud by a central messaging means that interfaces with common payment processor service, common email service and common video storage service.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 24, 2014Publication date: October 30, 2014Applicant: Mobilyzer LLCInventors: Todd Marshall, Karl Selander, Mark Weldon
-
Publication number: 20140269199Abstract: A gunshot detection system having one or more sensors detecting indoor shootings and reporting gunshot detection to a central monitoring system. Each sensor includes a microphone and comparison circuit for processing detected sounds and determining whether the sound is indicative of gunshot. If a gunshot is detected, the sensor reports the detection to nearby sensors and to the central system. The central system can interface with third party systems, such as law enforcement communication systems, to provide particularized information to assist first responding in dealing appropriately with situation.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 14, 2013Publication date: September 18, 2014Applicant: Supervene LLCInventors: Mark Weldon, Adam Lilien

Publication number: 20080250749Abstract: A fixative device for a decorative finial capable of being press fit onto a picket or post includes a pair of contact tabs arranged to bridge across a bend or corner formed by the inner surface of the free end of a tubular picket or post. A fit may be provided by a channel and protrusion or o-ring. A plurality of contact tabs, each having two contact surfaces may accommodate manufacturing defects and variations in the wall thickness of tubular, extruded posts.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 16, 2007Publication date: October 16, 2008Applicant: Weldon Industries, Inc.Inventors: Mark Weldon, Raymond Eland
-
Publication number: 20070157540Abstract: A locking plate and a plurality of rigid extension members are capable of being mounted on a structure such as a gate or fence providing rigidity. The locking plate and a cover are capable of fixing the plurality of rigid extension members, when the gate or a fence is positioned properly. A first extension member may be fixedly attached to the locking plate or may be fixedly mounted in a channel on the locking plate. Additional extension members may be rotatably mounted such as on pegs that fit in holes located proximally to one end of the extension members. The length of extension members may be adjustable, such as by using telescoping extending members fixedly attachable to ends of the extension members.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 9, 2006Publication date: July 12, 2007Inventor: Mark Weldon

Publication number: 20050011605Abstract: A composite building component includes a non-planar molded composite web having two outer zones and two angled zones wherein the caliper of the angled zones differs from the caliper of at least one of the outer zones, and a flange disposed on an outer surface of an outer zone. A method of providing a composite building component also is disclosed.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 9, 2004Publication date: January 20, 2005Inventors: Mark Ruggie, Brian Bonomo, Lemuel Braddock, Toplica Koledin, Bei-Hong Liang, Steven Lynch, Kathleen Nemivant, Beverly Pearce, Mark Weldon

Patent number: 6282908Abstract: A high efficiency compressor and heat exchange assembly adapted for utilization in air-conditioning/refrigeration systems. The assembly includes an electromechanical compressor instead of a traditional mechanical compressor, to effect compression and displacement of a working fluid in a thermodynamic cycle. The use of a electromechanical compressor permits employment of the Malone (liquid) thermodynamic cycle which has an intrinsically higher efficiency than the conventional Gifford-McMahon thermodynamic cycle. The assembly incorporates heat exchange disks which enclose a chamber for the working fluid. A densely perforated regenerator is centered in the chamber for absorbing and returning heat to the working fluid during the thermodynamic cycle. Ducts, in fluid communication with the heat exchange disks, define circuits for the flow of heat exchange fluid.Type: GrantFiled: February 25, 1999Date of Patent: September 4, 2001Inventor: Mark Weldon

Patent number: 5775608Abstract: A reversible granulator includes double-edged cutting blades mounted on a rotor with each of the edges on an opposite side of the cutting blade. A pair of fixed bed knife members each have a pair of peak cutting edges with an intervening clearance space. One peak cutting edge in each bed knife cooperates with one blade cutting edge when the rotor is rotated in one direction to cut material, while the other peak cutting edge cooperates with the other blade cutting edge upon rotor rotation in the opposite direction.Type: GrantFiled: April 7, 1997Date of Patent: July 7, 1998Inventors: Thomas J.
