  • Publication number: 20140037378
Abstract: An apparatus for forming a drainage assembly within and along an elongate trench is disclosed. The apparatus includes a conduit guide means adapted to dispose a length portion of the elongate conduit within the trench, and an aggregate material delivery means adapted to distribute aggregate material within the trench such that the length portion of the elongate conduit within the trench is substantially surrounded by the aggregate material. Movement of the apparatus along the trench in use disposes subsequent length portions of the elongate conduit and further aggregate material within and along the trench to form the drainage assembly.

  • Publication number: 20140005955
Abstract: A method and apparatus use a first detector (7) sensitive to the interaction of cosmic rays and/or one or more types of particle generated by cosmic rays and a second detector (5a) sensitive to emissions from radioactive material to investigate a volume of material at the investigation location (1). By detecting signals from the first detector (7) during a first measurement period (W) and detecting signals from the first detector and/or second detector during the second measurement period (X), a ratio for their values can be obtained and used to indicate a possibility, wherein the possibility could be the presence of radioactive material associated with the volume of material; or the absence of radioactive material associated with the volume of material; or uncertainty as to whether there is radioactive material associated with the volume of material; or the presence of high atomic number material associated with the volume of material.

  • Publication number: 20130260448
Abstract: Methods, systems, computer program products, apparatus and circuits are configured to detect fallen containers upstream or proximate an intake zone suitable for automated evaluation apparatus using different sensors, including at least one lower sensor and at least one upper sensor which is positioned to project an optical signal at a height corresponding to a top portion of an upright container to thereby allow an increased reliability in detection of different orientations and positions of fallen containers. An optional second lower sensor may be used which is longitudinally spaced apart from the first lower sensor and the lower sensors can transmit optical signals across the container travel path that do not intersect.

  • Publication number: 20120284175
Abstract: A Person-to-person payments method and system may include receiving a request from a computer network to transfer funds from a first account to a second account, almost instantly. An alias (mobile number or email) is received and is associated with the second account and checked against a database. If the alias exists, multiple options may apply for transferring funds. Next, a secure party identifier is generated and the transfer may be completed. A Payments Switch Module may also communicate with a Third Party Payment Service Provider a request from a Sending or Receiving Financial Institution or party, to send or receive funds from a specific account held by the Third Party Payment Service Provider. This may occur on an adhoc, automatic, or scheduled basis enabling management of ‘personal cash concentration.’ This feature with the Third Party Payment Service Provider be characterized as a “Bring it Home” feature of the system.
