  • Publication number: 20090314218
Abstract: Animal handling apparatus comprising a cage (2) with restraining means wherein the restraining means comprises a flexible member (78), such as a net, arranged to restrain an animal in three dimensions when in use. A handler may thereby have access to the animal whilst it is constrained with less risk of movement by the animal and thus less risk of injury to the animal and the handler. The flexible member may be lowered onto or raised from under the animal by means of a chain drive (38) that can be operated by two handles (40) positioned on the outside of the cage.

  • Patent number: 7439025
Abstract: Antibodies are described, which are suitable for identification of ?-carboxyglutamic acid (Gla), said antibodies having an ability of identifying Gla residues in proteins and/or peptides, while not reacting with glutamic (Glu) residues in corresponding proteins and/or peptides. Methods for the preparation and identification of said antibodies as well as methods for detection of Gla in biological fluids, tissue extracts, tissue specimens, in which methods said antibodies are used, are also described. There is also described the use of said antibodies for immunopurification of Gla-containing proteins or peptides by, for instance, immunoprecipitation or immunoaffinity chromatography.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 5876507
Abstract: A fluid treating device with at least one chamber, a plurality of ultrasonic transducers for imparting ultrasonic waves through fluid when present in the at least one chamber; a screen located in the at least one chamber wherein the screen is coated with a dielectric material. The coated screen diffuses the ultrasonic waves and enhances uniform treatment. The fluid treating device is useful for treatments such as cleaning, degreasing, plating or etching articles such as ceramic substrates.
