The method further includes generating a physical resource throttling protocol in accordance with the components subject to stress, and processing the new object in accordance with the object management policy and in accordance with the throttling protocol.

Abstract: An automated system and method for presenting both interactive and proactive customized and personalized advice for a customer by a financial institution is based on a sophisticated customer profile generated by the system according to an analysis of the customer from a totality of the customer's interaction with the system. The system includes, for example, an advice engine, which is primarily software, that considers numerous sets of system logic, such as legal constraints and statistical facts that affect the customer, and generates the advice. The system also includes a presentation engine which varies the presentation, depending in part on the mode by which the customer accesses the system, but regardless of the mode, presents the advice to the customer in an individualized manner. Additionally, the system includes a context assessment engine, which examines the context of the interaction between the customer and the system and assesses the effectiveness of the advice.

Abstract: An embedded security processor is used in conjunction with a main processor to provide security for a computer system that is accessible via a computer network. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, an expansion board is provided that has an embedded security processor dedicated to network communications security tasks. The embedded security processor is controlled by the main processor and intercepts all communications from external untrusted or unverified network systems (i.e., unsecure networks) and verifies that the attempted communication is permissible before allowing the external network communication traffic to access the main processor, or other networked computer resources accessible via a secure network.

Abstract: An object oriented framework for diagnostic testing operates upon a user-defined diagnostic script to perform the desired tests. Certain core functions are provided by the framework, which interact with extensible functions. This separation of core and extensible functions allows the separation of the diagnostic application from the attributes of the test. A user may thus define extensible functions that allow the framework to test specific hardware and/or software without the framework having the knowledge of the specific tests being performed, or the results of those tests.
