    Abstract: The present invention relates a system (30) comprising a plurality of battery modules (10) and a cold plate (30) for cooling the battery modules. Each battery module comprises a plurality of stacked battery cells (11) and two side plates (12), each side plate having a protruding lower edge (14) supporting a bottom surface (15). The cold plate comprises a base plate (31) provided with cooling channels, wherein the base plate (31) is thermally connected to the bottom surface (15) of the battery cells (11) in each battery module (10); an inlet port (24) for feeding cooling media via the cooling channels to an outlet port (26), and at least one cut-out (32) configured to house one of the protruding lower edges (14) of the side plates (12).
