    Abstract: A headlamp assembly comprising a light source and a housing for the light source, a dampening element for dampening movement of the housing in or generally along at least one axis in response to dynamic loads during operation of the vehicle, while permitting movement of the housing in a predetermined direction. Another embodiment comprises a headlamp assembly comprising a light source and a support housing having a projection extending from the support housing. At least one isolator is mounted on the projection and a bracket comprising a working surface generally opposes a landing surface of a landing. The working surface comprises a slot adapted to receive a post and permit the post to move in the slot. The at least one isolator cooperates and engages the working surface or the landing surface to dampen movement of the support housing in response to dynamic loads during operation of the vehicle.
