  • Publication number: 20190243577
Abstract: A data structure is maintained for performing a program operation that is allowed to be suspended to perform reads in a NAND device, where the data structure indicates a plurality of tiers, where each tier of the plurality of tiers has a number of allowed suspends of the program operation while executing in the tier, and where a sum of the number of allowed suspends for all tiers of the plurality of tiers equals a maximum allowed number of suspends of the program operation. In response to performing a resume of the program operation, after performing a read following a suspend of the program operation, a determination is made of a tier of the plurality of tiers for the program operation and a subsequent suspend of the program operation is performed only after a measure of progress of the program operation has been exceeded in the determined tier.

  • Patent number: 10372446
Abstract: Technology to dynamically modulate read granularity of a memory device. A computing system may include a controller and one or more memory devices coupled to the controller, the one or more memory devices including instructions, which when executed by the controller, may cause the computing system to determine whether a read to a memory device satisfies a sub-page read policy. In addition, the instructions, when executed, may cause the computing system to issue a sub-page read command to retrieve data from the memory device at sub-page granularity when the read satisfies the sub-page read policy. Moreover, the instructions, when executed, may cause the computing system to issue a full-page read command to retrieve the data at full-page granularity when the read does not satisfy the sub-page read policy or when a read for a segment of sequentially stored data does not satisfy the sub-page read policy.

  • Patent number: 10371281
Abstract: An apparatus for overriding a valve actuator to move a valve stem to a second position includes an override body with a central axis. A piston is located within the override body. A bushing is non-rotatably carried within the override body. An override shaft is in threaded engagement with the bushing and extends through a sealed orifice in the override body. Fluid pressure applied to the piston causes the bushing to engage the valve actuator and push the valve stem, and alternatively, rotation applied to the override shaft causes the bushing to move linearly to engage the valve actuator and push the valve stem.

  • Publication number: 20190226571
Abstract: A gearbox assembly for an electric power assisted steering system. The gearbox assembly includes a housing, a worm shaft, and a gear wheel, the worm shaft being supported relative to the housing by a main bearing assembly and a tail bearing assembly. The tail bearing assembly at least is free to move relative to the housing, allowing the worm shaft to move radially away from the axis of the gear wheel. The worm shaft is enables to move normal to the worm shaft axis such that it can move in and out of meshing contact with the gear wheel. The assembly further includes a gripping means that acts between the tail bearing assembly and the housing such that torque transmitted through the gear wheel generates a friction force that locks the tail bearing assembly to prevent movement of the worm shaft normal to the worm shaft axis that would otherwise occur.

  • Publication number: 20190215637
Abstract: A headphone for spatial audio rendering includes a first database having an impulse response pair corresponding to a reference speaker location. A head sensor provides head orientation information to a second database having rotation filters, the filters corresponding to different azimuth and elevation positions relative to the reference speaker location. A digital signal processor combines the rotation filters with the impulse response pair to generate an output binaural audio signal to transducers of the headphone. Efficiencies in creating impulse response or HRTF databases are achieved by sampling the impulse response less frequently than in conventional methods. This sampling at coarser intervals reduces the number of data measurements required to generate a spherical grid and reduces the time involved in capturing the impulse responses. Impulse responses for data points falling between the sampled data points are generated by interpolating in the frequency domain.
