  • Patent number: 10950371
Abstract: A push-in connector generally having an interior channel equipped with longitudinal protrusions that run at least part of the length of the interior channel of the connector body to define grooves through which wires of a different gauges can be inserted. When the user rotates the connector body about its longitudinal axis, the interior channel defines a second gauge through which a wire of a second gauge can pass. The connector body has one or more incisions cut into one end of the connector body and a separate cuff that fits over the feed end. The interior channel contains teeth that grip the wire(s) or cable(s) once inserted. The exterior of the connector body has flexible exterior protrusions that can be pushed down when inserting the connector through the knock-out of a housing and spring back into place to secure the connector to the housing.

  • Patent number: 10077796
Abstract: A section of a folding spacer apparatus for ensuring precise spatial increments when stacking segments of the spacer apparatus having at least two identical segments of equal thickness equal to an incremental measurement frequently utilized in the construction industry joined by a thin and pliable length of material enabling the bottom surface of a first segment to be flush with the top surface of a second segment when the segments are stacked. The segments are made without corners. In addition, the segments feature a system whereby the two segments may be snapped to one another when stacked. Specifically, first segment features at least one protrusion extending perpendicularly from its top surface, and the second segment should feature at least one complimentary cavity in its top surface, the dimensions and volume of the cavity being such that the protrusion of the first segment is snugly fit within the cavity.

  • Patent number: 9303619
Abstract: The hydrokinetic energy conversion system uses, in one embodiment, a perpendicular turbine coupled to an electrical generator and a laminar water flow shroud. The ballast and buoyancy system includes hydrofoils defining lateral sides of the shroud mounted on upper and lower decks. Ballast chambers are defined in some or all of the foils and each has a gas intake port and a water ballast output port. The shroud carries a source of compressed air, valves for control of air flow into the ballast chambers. The ballast and buoyancy system includes a control system with sensors for depth, pitch, yaw and roll of the shroud which generates valve control commands. Another embodiment utilizes an inline turbine and a radial water flow shroud with a plurality of circumferential hydrofoils. Struts mount the turbine near the primary hydrofoil and braces attach ring hydrofoils together. Alternatively, ballast chambers are defined in outboard-mounted ballast pods.

  • Patent number: 5108243
Abstract: A spacing apparatus to be used in conjunction with electrical wiring boxes, comprising an elongated thin foldable strip approximatelly 1" in width and 6" in length which further comprises a multiplicity of rectangular shaped equal sized sections each having a round central hole, whereby a certain number of the multiplicity of sections can be folded together to form a rectangular shaped corrugated spacer with a desired thickness to fill the gap between the screw arms of the electrical wiring devices and a round central hole to accommodate the fastening screw.
