A drill bit is driven by the output shaft by means of cooperating ratchet plates contained in a gearbox. The motor has a stator and a rotor, and is provided with leaf springs which attenuate vibrations transmitted from the motor to the housing along the axis of rotation of the rotor relative to the stator.
