Patent number: 10993599Abstract: A dish overflow protection system for a dishwasher. The dishwasher has a conveyor mechanism, a holding area, and a washing system. The dish overflow protection system has a housing including a user interface. A first sensor is disposed on the housing and is configured to take a first reading. A second sensor is remote from the housing and is configured to take a second reading. The dish overflow protection system has a control unit configured to halt operation of the conveyor mechanism where a difference between the first reading and the second reading is greater than a threshold. The user interface is usable to modify the threshold.Type: GrantFiled: March 28, 2019Date of Patent: May 4, 2021Assignee: TCD PARTS, INC.Inventors: Mark B. Fisher, Joel Gross

Patent number: 10617276Abstract: A method for remotely monitoring and operating a dishwashing machine includes providing a remote appliance monitoring and control unit. The unit has a portable housing having an indicator, a wireless network interface, a processor, and a memory having machine readable instructions configured to be executed by the processor. The instructions are executed to determine an attribute of the dishwashing machine and to control the indicator based on the determination of the attribute. The method includes communicatively coupling the unit to the dishwashing machine, and using the unit to determine the attribute of the dishwashing machine. The method comprises causing the unit to wirelessly communicate the determined attribute to a remote user computer together with a geographic location of the dishwashing machine. The method includes taking a responsive action in response to the determined attribute.Type: GrantFiled: October 24, 2017Date of Patent: April 14, 2020Assignee: TCD PARTS, INC.Inventors: Mark B. Patent number: 9951459Abstract: A system for monitoring sanitation agents in a laundry machine comprises a plurality of channels. Each channel has an input port, an output port, and a glass tube. Each input port and output port is adapted to be fluidly coupled to the laundry machine. The system includes a monitoring unit associated with each of the glass tubes. Each monitoring unit includes a bubble detector and a flow rate measurement unit. A beeper is configured to generate an indication of an alarm condition based on a determination made by any one of the monitoring units. The system has a display screen, a memory storing computer-readable instructions, and a controller communicatively coupled to each of the monitoring units. The controller is configured to execute the instructions to wirelessly communicate to a web page a volume of a sanitation agent that has passed through each of the glass tubes.Type: GrantFiled: May 22, 2017Date of Patent: April 24, 2018Assignees: TCD Parts, Inc., Brightwell Dispensers LtdInventors: Mark B. Patent number: 9282875Abstract: A method for sequentially monitoring a level of a sanitation agent comprises the step of providing a supply tube having a first portion and a second portion. The method includes the step of linking the supply tube first portion and the supply tube second portion with a pipe. An optical sensor is situated adjacent the pipe, and is used to take a reference reading and a fault check reading. A controller imposes a warning signal when a difference between the reference reading and the fault check reading is greater than a threshold. The reference reading is taken when the sanitation agent is in direct contact with the pipe.Type: GrantFiled: July 1, 2015Date of Patent: March 15, 2016Assignee: TCD PARTS, INC.Inventor: Mark B. Patent number: 9095248Abstract: A method for monitoring a level of a sanitation agent in a dishwashing system having a sanitation agent supply vessel includes the step of providing a supply tube having a first portion and a second portion that are unconnected to one another. The first and second portions are linked with a pipe. An optical sensor is situated adjacent the pipe, and a reference reading, a fault check reading, and a fault confirmation reading is sequentially taken with the optical sensor. The method further includes the step of imposing a warning signal by a controller when both: (1) a magnitude of the difference between the reference reading and the fault check reading exceeds a threshold; and (2) a magnitude of the difference between the reference reading and the fault confirmation reading exceeds the threshold.Type: GrantFiled: August 16, 2013Date of Patent: August 4, 2015Assignee: TCD Parts, Inc.Inventor: Mark B.
