Publication number: 20240081202Abstract: A sprinkler controller is cooperable with a sprinkler assembly that receives fluid input from a pipe span. The sprinkler controller includes a microcontroller circuit, a motion sensor coupled with the microcontroller circuit, and a valve assembly including a modulator coupled with the microcontroller circuit and a valve coupled with the sprinkler assembly. The valve meters or controls an amount of fluid output from the sprinkler assembly, and the microcontroller circuit is programmed to control the valve assembly based on input from the motion sensor. With a series of sprinkler controllers in a center pivot irrigation system, the drop numbers for each of the sprinkler assemblies can be determined based on input from the motion sensors.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 15, 2022Publication date: March 14, 2024Inventors: Meade M. Patent number: 7869963Abstract: A system and method of calculating chemical usage during a refilling of a supply tank, which includes the steps of providing a chemical system having a first supply tank of known capacity, wherein the tank is mounted upon an electronic scale. The scale is capable of generating a series of signals related to the weight of the tank when empty and at various levels of fill. A system controller receives a series of signals from the scale relating to the weight of the tank when empty and at various levels of fill. The first supply tank is filled from a source of chemical feed and the fill time for the filling of the first supply tank is obtained. The system controller inputs the series of signals from the scale relating to the weight of the tank when empty and at various levels of fill and calculates a usage during refilling based on a feed rate times the fill time.Type: GrantFiled: February 1, 2008Date of Patent: January 11, 2011Assignee: Force FlowInventors: Mark B Nelson, Dannie Ray Barger

Patent number: 7234346Abstract: A system and method for detecting and displaying the amount of chemical in a vessel. The system includes a vessel with a variable quantity of gas supported upon a moveable platform. A hydraulic load cell is positioned under the platform, and generates a hydraulic pressure signal, which is a function of the variable quantity of gas in the vessel. An electrical signal transducer converts the pressure signal to an electrical signal which is transmitted to a battery powered microprocessor/display capable of converting the electrical signal into a displayable signal indicative of an amount of gas remaining in the vessel.Type: GrantFiled: November 23, 2004Date of Patent: June 26, 2007Assignee: Force FlowInventor: Mark B.
