  • Patent number: 7648319
Abstract: A clip nut is provided including a clip body and nut. The clip body includes an upper arm connected to a lower arm by a connecting end wall. The clip body has a nut housing upon its upper arm for affixing a nut having a tubular body and a radially projecting base. The nut housing includes an end wall, an intermediate wall and a top wall. A ridge projects upwardly from the upper arm between the intermediate wall and end wall. Furthermore, the top wall includes an opening for allowing the nut's base to slide upon the ridge to enter a cavity during assembly. Thereafter, the nut is tilted forwardly and the nut's base is slid into a nut receiving chamber to complete the assembly of the clip nut.

  • Patent number: 6593516
Abstract: A holder for a single musical instrument reed provides the proper pressures upon a reed being held therein, to assure that a moist reed will dry properly without warping after use. The present holder has a laterally bowed, outwardly convex first panel and an opposite flat second panel, with the reed fitting therebetween. A pair of longitudinal ribs extend along the inner surface of the first panel and bear against the curved surface of the reed stored therein, to hold the opposite flat surface of the reed securely against the flat inner surface of the second panel and assure that the reed cannot bend or warp within the holder. The holder is preferably formed of a polyethylene plastic material, which allows the sides to be flexed inwardly to bow the first panel away from the reed, thereby allowing the reed to be withdrawn from the holder.

  • Patent number: 5366160
Abstract: A foamer nozzle for use with a trigger operated pump sprayer of the type utilized with a foamable liquid. The foaming action is optimized by maximizing the amount of mixing of the spray particles in the plume emitted from the discharge orifice of the sprayer with aspirated air. Such optimization is achieved through use of opposing pairs of individual separate and spaced apart looped ribs lying in a common plane substantially parallel to and downstream from the wall containing the discharge orifice, with each of the ribs having a tip and a pair of spaced legs which define an opening therebetween. The ribs are preferably teardrop shaped in cross-section, with the rear edges thereof being substantially V-shaped for impingement by the spray plume.

  • Patent number: 5353969
Abstract: A liquid dispensing pump capable of inverted spray has a container vent including a spiral vent groove of a length restricting the free flow of liquid therethrough to avoid leakage, and being sized so that while dispensing in the inverted position the rate of liquid discharge from the container is greater than the flow of air through the vent groove which thereby creates a vacuum in the container and effects a suck-back of air through the vent into the container for venting.

  • Patent number: 5181635
Abstract: A liquid pump dispenser has a stationary spout, a fixed piston and a reciprocating cylinder therewith defining a variable volume pump chamber. The dispenser has container venting and pump priming features, and includes an inlet/discharge valve housing. The dispenser has a reduced number of parts for simplicity and economy.

  • Patent number: 5108524
Abstract: A hot melt gasket or liner is applied to a portion of a manually operated dispenser having a closure cap for coupling the dispenser to a container. The material may contain a predetermined amount of gaseous fluid to form a foamed hot melt material having a predetermined density. After the material cools to room temperature, it forms an anti-slip gasket seal which, upon coupling the cap to the container neck, the hot melt material is compressed for restricting movement of the dispenser about the central axis of the container and for preventing formation of a leak path between the container rim surface and the dispenser.
