Abstract: A support base system includes a mounting pad, at least one support frame, and at least one equipment-specific mounting plate, which are together used for mounting equipment. The pad includes an opening through which cable is routed into the equipment. Each support frame is located within the pad opening and includes an aligned frame opening through which the cable is routed into the equipment. And each equipment-specific mounting plate is removably attached to and supported by the support frame and includes an aligned equipment-specific opening through which the cable is routed into the equipment. The equipment-specific mounting plates are interchangeably mountable to the support frame so that when changing out the equipment, the mounting plate can be changed out too, but the same pad and support frame can be used. Methods of manufacturing, installing, and retrofitting the support base are also provided.

Abstract: A modular electrical system (10) supplies power to and controls a plurality of electric motors (M.sub.1, M.sub.2, M.sub.3, M.sub.4) associated with a plurality of drive units folding or extending rows in a telescopic seating system, comprising the motors (M.sub.1, M.sub.2, M.sub.3, M.sub.4), a control panel (12) removably communicating with the motors (M.sub.1, M.sub.2, M.sub.3, M.sub.4) directing incoming current to drive the motors (M.sub.1, M.sub.2, M.sub.3, M.sub.4) in a predetermined direction, a dual receptacle (18) communicating with the control panel (12), and a switch (26) terminating in a plug (30) removably communicating with the dual receptacle (18).

Abstract: A drive unit (10) is provided for extending or retracting a telescopic seating system and includes a frame (14) into which a front axle (24) and a rear axle (26) are journaled, a plurality of transversely spaced wheels (28) mounted on the front axle (24) and on the rear axle (26), drive means supported by the frame (14) for imparting rotation to the axles, preferably powered by a reversible electric motor (32), and a mounting assembly temporarily attaching the drive unit (10) to a row (92) of the telescopic seating system, the mounting assembly preferably including upright connectors (80, 82, 84, 86) fastened to the row (92) proximate their upper ends and fixed at their lower ends to longitudinal beams (76, 78) detachably interconnected to the frame (14) through threaded spacers (66). The unit (10) may be additionally provided with weight support brackets (94) supporting an external weight (122) to increase traction between the wheels (28) and a floor upon which the unit (10) travels.
