  • Patent number: 11892652
Abstract: Various lens shapes are able to transform laser beams into laser sheets that can span both two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) space in a controlled manner. The electromagnetic characteristics of the laser beams can be tailored as the laser light enters, traverses, and exits a lens. The projected image can be shaped. The lenses may have sections being multiply or simply connected with or without cavities. The lenses may also have solid or hollow race features, and coatings and/or material layers, which affect the output laser sheet. A fan angle of the produced laser sheet can be up to and include 360 degrees.

  • Patent number: 10422998
Abstract: The laser transformer lens is a hollow shaped translucent lens that transforms a laser beam into a laser sheet substantially which is capable of spanning a planar space nearly. In the event that the optical characteristics of the laser beam and the laser transformer lens are designed properly, a laser sheet of controlled form may be developed as the laser light enters, traverses, and exits the lens. The projection of the transmitted laser sheet, as it impinges on an opaque surface remote from the laser transformer lens results in a laser curve along the surface area which the laser sheet strikes. Moreover, hybrid designs of the laser transformer lens may tune substantially the waveform characteristics such as: wave speed, phase velocity, group velocity, reflection, transmission, refraction, amplitude modulation, frequency modulation, attenuation, fan angle, and wave width.

  • Patent number: 10184218
Abstract: A marker light is a device that provides referential pivoting and precision boundary marking required for parking or docking articulate vehicles during poor visibility conditions. The marker consists of 12 primary features, an upper shell housing, a sealed circular window for white light passage, a sealed slotted window for laser light passage, internal reinforcement, a white up light, a laser beam transform lens, a laser beam source, a rechargeable battery pack, a recharging port, a wiring harness, a lower base plate, and an on/off switch. The up light pinpoints substantially the optimum pivot location during the parking or docking process. The developed laser plane—resulting from the laser beam passing through the transform lens—enables two marking orientations for the driver from one continuous laser impingement curve. From a top view perspective, orientation 1 marks parallel on the ground for aligning the trailer while orientation 2 marks perpendicular to the vertical dock wall.

  • Publication number: 20180356279
Abstract: Electromagnetic sensors which will enhance the recorded axle weight measurement data of a portable smart scale are: an incline meter and a laser distance measuring device. These sensors are added to the claims of the previous patent pending with filing No.: 14/806584. The incline meter will aid in accounting for weight measurements made on a flat surface which is inclined. Due to the limited displacement brought about by the linearity requirement enforced on sensor system material; an accurate displacement measuring device will enhance small relative motion detection.

  • Publication number: 20170023397
Abstract: il-Scale is capable of measuring all axle loads of semi-tractor trailers and other heavy duty vehicles. The electronic data is formatted into a certified electronic document that may be transmitted by wire or wireless to email, cell phone text message, and other telecommunication devices, facsimile, or printer for hard copy. The document includes: a time and date stamp, the time zone where the loads were measured, a GPS location of where the loads were measured, and a record of all axle loads and gross vehicle weight. The il-Scale is portable and may be used in a stationary environment. The il-Scale is comprised of a: light weight frame, piloted vertical stiffening plate, a detachable sensing element containing electro-mechanical or mechanical sensors, fasteners, a rechargeable battery pack, a bulkhead and access panels, and an on off switch. An auxiliary wire or wireless indicator light, with standalone battery pack, aids in axle alignment relative to the scale.
