  • Publication number: 20090048592
Abstract: An electrosurgical instrument for the treatment of tissue in the presence of an electrically-conductive fluid medium comprises an instrument shaft (10), and an electrode assembly (12) at one end of the shaft. The electrode assembly (12) comprises a tissue treatment electrode (14) and a return electrode (18) which is electrically insulated from the tissue treatment electrode by means of an insulation member (16). The tissue treatment electrode (14) has an exposed surface for treating tissue, and the return electrode (18) has a fluid contact surface so as to define, in use, a conductive fluid path that completes an electrical circuit between the tissue treatment electrode and the return electrode.

  • Publication number: 20070032098
Abstract: Charging a battery is disclosed. An electrical connection is formed between a wireless adapter having a battery and a host. The wireless adapter is configured to be able to be removably coupled to a device to provide a wireless channel between the device and the host. The battery of the wireless adapter is charged using the host.

  • Publication number: 20070016654
Abstract: Distributing content between media devices is disclosed. An item stored on a first media device is selected for distribution. A distribution type associated with the item is specified, where the distribution type is indicative of a compensation arrangement. A copy of the item is transferred to a second media device.

  • Publication number: 20020072237
Abstract: A method for forming shallow trench isolation structures is provided that includes forming a plurality of isolation trenches (32) in a substrate (10) where the isolation trenches (32) separate active areas (18). An insulation layer (44) is formed outwardly from the substrate (10) with the insulation layer (44) filling the isolation trenches (32) and covering the active areas (18). A planarization layer (46) is formed outwardly from the insulation layer (44). The planarization layer (46) and the insulation layer (44) are removed together at a substantially even rate down to a polish stop (14) outward from the active areas (18).

  • Patent number: 5966531
Abstract: A communication interface for decoupling one software application from another software application such communications between applications are facilitated and applications may be developed in modularized fashion. The communication interface is comprised of two libraries of programs. One library manages self-describing forms which contain actual data to be exchanged as well as type information regarding data format and class definition that contain semantic information. Another library manages communications and includes a subject mapper to receive subscription requests regarding a particular subject and map them to particular communication disciplines and to particular services supplying this information. A number of communication disciplines also cooperate with the subject mapper or directly with client applications to manage communications with various other applications using the communication protocols used by those other applications.
